The other dog wants to play and Gizmo doesn't give a shit. Literally.

nah thats his "Best friend", they play all the time.. he focuses on toys though, when you dangle them in front of him, he forgets about everything and focuses on the toy.

nice 1 leg dunks mang, btw, can you palm the ball?

thanks guga.. nah, i used to be able to actually, when i played bball all the time.. i mean i'd have to force it in there to palm it, now i cant though.. it's like my hand shrunk.. if i could palm i'd be doing more stuff off dribble lol.

sick dunks man... huge difference between now and even June.
Dunks look harder and more explosive.  :headbang: and feels like you are able to do stuff you couldn't before so yea. Keep it up dude. No need to give a shit about haters. :)

ya i dont give a sh*t about haters, they are weak.

ya august has been pretty good to me.. june sucked, knee injury was hardcore for most of june and early into july.. so ya, but, some of these dunks/dunk misses ive had in august are my best ever, especially that two hander in "the promise" dunk mix.. so i cant complain :D

peace man thanks for the support.

i really love long distance walking.. especially the hills stuff..

really awesome jumps for a 2 leg jumper no doubt. you're still the good ol quad nation adarqui :D don't really use glute power in the jump, in my last step on 1 leg jump my whole body looks like this--> \
It's definitely harder for two legged jumpers to develop a single leg jump than the other way around from my experience, so props t you.
Also, I had the shook ones II beat as my ringtone for 2 years, i like that.  peace 2 worm a.k.a maggot

thanks man.. ya mobb deep is my sh*t, i still play infamous/hell on earth and it's 2011, been playing it since 1996. hah

i have pics of my whole body looking like \ .... from a good side angle it does.

Thank you for your one-leg jumps, you should do that more often. Try getting the ball with both palms the next time, see what happens (I can't, I always have this tendency to "throw" my left arm downwards when I dunk, but you might not).

ya i want to do more single leg tomorrow, dno tho

ive hit 2 handers off slrvj, but on 9'11 rim

slrvj's leave my left glute/leg so sore hehe.

tons of water retention

bw = 152
soreness = left glute, left leg
aches/injuries = left leg, right knee from stretching (aggravated my knee injury from 4+ weeks ago)
diet = 3 hour walk with 12 lb weighted vest (1 hour up, 1 hour hills, 1 hour back), 5 egg burrito + hamburger burrito + 6 bananas

drank so much fluids today.. wanted to dehydrate a bit, got to 146 after walk.. then i drank like 10 glasses of crystal light.. 155 before sleep hah.

i really love long distance walking.. especially the hills stuff.. i felt SO good after that 3 hour walk.. even after drinknig so much fluids, then finally ate around 7pm, and felt like crap.. hah

Flip was saying he currently sucks at squatting.

He came in and did two sets of 120x3 half squats without a belt AFTER 4 sets of BSSs with 22.5 kg dumbbells. He was saying 100 kg feels heavy with a belt on a week or so ago and he comes in today and does this ^^^

sounds like flip caught a good wave, keep ride'n that sh*t flip.

I had 66 kg (145lbs) my lowest, but still had a belly (wtf is up with that) and back than i could feel i was faster when jumping off 1 leg, weight is definitely a factor..

Do you guys think, me being 5'8", 5'9" with shoes weighing up to 160 lbs will have a direct negative affect on my SLRVJ assuming relative strength stays the same?

I weigh 151ish right now, and want to bulk up to 160.  I know bulking up is not the best thing when it comes to SLRVJ, but of course I won't go past 160.

Basically what I'm asking is,

2 single leg jumpers that are 5'9".  One weighs 160 and the other weighs 150.  Equal body fat%, relative strength, equal everything else.  They will probably jump the same in a DLRVJ, but will there be other factors coming into play performing a SLRVJ with 10 extra pounds of weight that will make the 150lb guy jump higher?

if it's mostly lower body mass it shouldn't hurt.. it would probably help most people, as most people muscle up their slrvj's.

If most of the 10 pound gain came from upper body, will it hurt the vertical?

it should, a little, maybe 2" or so.. if you're adding considerable muscle weight to everything else except the prime movers (hip/knee/ankle musculature), then expect slightly decreases in performance unless you get alot stronger in the prime movers.. it comes down to relative strength after all.

i apply the "anger approach" to slrvj also... a good example is today, my best dunk came right after this manager came and told me to stop recording... i asked him for one more dunk, he said ok, and as you see him walking towards the door i just smash it down nasty.... i was "legit mad" that he told me to stop recording, i didn't show it to him of course, because im polite, but that anger helped get me to launch on my slrvj.

unless you're a bouncy freak, you're going to have to try and recruit those extra MU's just like you would in a double leg jump.. with double or single, you're not "tightening up" when you use anger of course.. anger is just going to cause a greater release of corticosteroids etc, increase mu output, so it works for single or double.
