I'll be at college in a week.  I've got a gym on campus so daily journal logs are very likely now.

good day

nice, they got a sick bball gym too i imagine?

At least provide a source for your quote. You can't not provide a reference for quotes...

right, it's his quote, that's why it makes no sense.. notice the '...' in the quote in the first sentence.

i'd still like to know why i have to jump like t-dub, when most of the elite double leggers don't at all jump like him... one day he'll reveal to me, the truth, of this matter.

And also, what about tendons? They don't use actin/myosin how does your quote even apply to that, why even talk about force, you should be talking about power.

bw = 148 (fat pig)
soreness = 0
aches/injuries = 0, still very slightly sick (ill be 0% sick when i have no more green mucous)
sleep = 7 hours
diet = 295 x 5 rested-max-no-warmup, 2.5 hour walk with 12 lb vest, nap, lots of PB, dog park, 295 x 5 rested-max-no-warmup  + neutral grip pullups=8, PB + 6 egg burrito + hamburger burrito, bw-exercises{pushups=40, pmghr=8, calve-raises=90, glute-bridges=100}, leg-drain

squat sets were very controlled today, good stuff

vest is cool, kills shoulders tho wearing it for that longl.. ill get used to it tho

again, why do i have to replicate t-dub's jump when i could replicate GC/YH/AUT's jump?

ya thats my problem with sickenin, at least if you're going to troll, dont dodge questions, make something good up.

15280
you are coiling my brain with all of this lame trolling.

15281
Listen up... This is for real.

I just watched the vid in slow-mo just now from the front cam (head-on shot).

He plants his right foot first, as he plants that foot, he hasn't coiled his upperbody yet (counter-rotated into lowerbody/achilles tendon). His body is still facing forwards towards the basket at this point.

As the left foot plants, he counter-rotates/twists upperbody into lowerbody/Achilles. HUGE, HUGE counter rotation going on.  At lift-off whole body/Achilles is coiled/twisted, you see his body facing the side on cam.). He's put massive coil into both right & left foot (planting) from counter-rotating with the upperbody. He just coils then uncoils. Even though he is putting coil through most of the body, it's the coil he produces in his Achilles/plant that is the defining factor.

HUGE ELASTIC ENERGY DEVELOPMENT.

Do this yeah...

COMPRESS YOUR ABS/CORE HARD, KEEP IT COMPRESSED THROUGHOUT THE DUNK & PERFORM T-DUBS PLANT.

Should feel like your stomach is being crushed.
That is the twisting power/torque your putting through the body.

Feeling the twist in the core. Imagine the torque being developed through the Achilles tendons with every dunk.   :highfive:

Bam.

Develop the strength in the gym, develop T-DUBS technique/coiling/elastic energy at the basket.

finally decided to put some weight in my weighed vest, been wearing it for an hour, pretty fun.. going to long distance walk with it soon

it's only 12 lb but ifeel that extra weight for sure... quads/calves/glutes feel to be working harder just from walking around with this thing.

happy bday dude, we're approaching the big 3-O!  :uhhhfacepalm:

thanks alot man, hah ya, will be fun to try and jump higher as i get older.

thanks alot lance, surprised u didnt use a GWS pic for that.. hah

still love that pic, thanks lbss@!#

happy birthday mang, I couldnt find any funny pic so I leave you this one from a board of a teather I saw in Argentina

what is that? lmfao.. what kind of teacher? why does a teacher have a board like that wtf?

thanks alot guga!

happy birthday boss. this gonna be a year of improvement getting closer to breaking those teeth on the rim. all jokes aside you the best trainer out there man.

one thing that'd be great man is if you could write some stuff about speed training. that'd mean a lot to me cuz i take your word seriously. something like what you did with the single leg jumper's toolbox. shit was dope. peace man.

thanks alot speedstik.. hope i do break some teeth on the rim, gotta get lighter + much stronger to do so ;F

ya man i been meaning to blog more just havnt.. if you want to get crazy fast (past 20m), become a beast on natural glute ham gastroc raises... ie natural ghr's etc, like the one on my adarqtv account.. that's one of the best indicators of potential for speed imo.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAYNE!!    29 Reps!    :personal-record:
The best is yet to come.......and the worst.  ;D

Hope u have a good one.

29 reps, lool.

thanks fedexpress!

Happy birthday man!

thanks steven-miller!@ hope your knee heels up quick.

Hey andrew,

long time no chat

happy bday btw

quick training question if cool?:)

just then i did 175kg times 5 trap bar deadlift on blocks (about kneeish high) rack DL if you will

Im 6 foot 3

about 88 to 90kg (200lbs ish) and

looking at your PR vid of 315lbs times 5 at 145lbs

i thought i would try this and adjust weights by adding my extra bodyweight 55lbs or so (385lbs times 5) which i did.

I also looked at your bottom leg position too which my trap DL replicates angle wise

and trying to keep spine neutral

SO phew:)

just wondering, my back feels ok now, but how do feel this would compare for vert leap benefit in comparison to your half squats that you do? ( i dont have ready access to a power rack btw)

keep up the great site and work:)

jon

thanks for the birthday wishes.. as for trap bar, it's definitely very similar to my half squat style lift, the biggest difference is how motor unit activity is initiated & the eccentric portion of the lift etc.. with half squatting, its pure leg/hip drive and there's that lowering of the bar controlled for the eccentric, which is a crucial part of the lift, because then you have that reversal point etc.. not sure how you're trap barring but i doubt you are slowly lowering, could be wrong though.. regardless, if you get significantly stronger by trap barring, it'll transfer over to vert.. because it's still leg/hip strength that you're improving.

adarqui, replicate how T-DUB is running/lining upto the basket. Then your on your way to producing masses amount of full-body elastic energy.

There is no great T-DUB coil or spiralling of the myosin filaments from that position your in within that pic.

See the guy with the red shorts in the pic?, he is facing in the same direction how T-DUB is setting up when he plants.

In that pic from your last dunk session, your feet/legs/torso have to be pointing to the right wall (the direction the guy in the red shorts is facing), IF your to replicate T-DUBS super dunk/action/elastic energy development.

Watch the vid, watch where T-DUBS left foot/legs/torso plant & look where the camera is at. He is completely face on (facing the right wall in your dunk picture). Overtime this coiling will generate huge amounts of elastic energy especially in the achilles tendons & throughout the entire body.

i understand exactly how t-dub jumps..................... but again:

again, why do i have to replicate t-dub's jump when i could replicate GC/YH/AUT's jump?
