bw = 151
soreness = glutes/quads/hamstrings, considerable
aches/injuries = left ankle a little
fatigue = mental (not much), physical (moderate)

EDIT: diet: keep forgetting to log this..
- 4 protein shakes (16 oz whole milk + 20g protein), 3 eggs sandwhich on 2 slices multi grain breead

workout: dribble + reactive + strenf
- ~45-60min of bball dribbling (very explosive)
- ME MR tuck jumps: 4 x 10
- some jumps off 2 steps, head height: hit my head on some sign that is ~9' high, it's anywhere from 8'10-9', no lower than that.. hit my head hard on it.. it was fun, plan on video taping it next time i go to do a session like this, which will be friday or saturday.. i'll try to smash the sign off the chains holding it up, the sign says "pizza stop" lolol... never thought about doing that before at this shopping center, it was very fun, around 10 jumps.

circuit:
- deadlift: 135 @ 8, 8, 8, done
- db shrugs: 60 lb @ 25, 25, 25, 20, 20, 20, hold for time: dumb
- widest grip pullups: 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8

going to do some calf raises later, 5 x 50 probably

peace!

Strength, Power, Reactivity, & Speed Discussion / Re: 3x8 or 3x5?
« on: November 02, 2010, 02:39:33 am »
Yes but I won't be able to jump this winter since it will be cold outside, and I don't WANT to jump while gaining weight (muscle and fat). I want to only strength train.

If you still care alot about vert, I personally would get some stationary reactive work in: depth jumps, tucks, pogos, single leg drop step jumps, etc.

^^ Just so you have less work to do once it starts heating up again..

peace

shock? care to elaborate?

what LBSS said, it's 4x10 depth jumps from around 30" box height, something that people shouldn't do unless they've been training for a long while :)

check out my "Instant RFD Part 1" article in blog section, it goes over a few of my shock experiments.

if you don't notice the basketball is behind his head, he looks like some kind of alien being falling from the sky onto the ground, landing in spiderman pose.

mannn I'm waiting for the day when we'll be able to put in a pre-determined amount of effort and be certain that we'll get to whatever goal we have in the pre-set amount of time...

i don't think that'll EVER happen hehe. too many external factors, too much internal variability.

Whats up, Im 160lb at 5'11. My goals are to get stronger and jump higher than adarq ;). Current running vertical is 31 inches and hopefully by the end of December I will have increased my vertical and strength to decent numbers. With everyones help I will achieve this no problem. This is my road to glory starting today! Tried air alert and other similar programs for weeks and it was not for me. It's time for change.

i officially welcome you to teh adarq gogitit nation.
