all in all, actually felt good.. 3 hour workout tonight.
workout: jumps + reactive work + strength - walk to court - single leg jumps, probably 15 each leg, hit a few 32's righty, mostly 30's - tuck jumps - supersetted tuck jumps with some relaxed DLRVJ's, actually hit a really smooth 33" dlrvj felt awesome.. just felt way different and not much effort, tried to repeat it, next jump was like 29-30 lool.. i was working on getting lower in my plant and dorsiflexing prior and during the runup/plant, so i kind of did some form jumping.. the dorsiflexion shit was good, i havn't been actively dorsiflexing like that at all, but in the past i have done that and it definitely helps.. my ankles are alot stronger in the plant when i do it and i get more speed in the run up. - more tuck jumps - walk back - more tuck jumps/pogos while warming up for pin squat - pin 11 squat, 5sec pause: 305 @ 1x1 @ 151 lb BW, 275 @ 1x3, 225 @ 3x5 quick sets (~30s rest) - dips: 5 - pullups: 8 - bb calf raise (glutes locked): 4 x 10
done.. i did an insane amount of reactive work though, that's why i can't even list it.. tons of ME tuck's @ 10 reps, a bunch of 40-50 rep buttkick jumps, pogo's x 10 reps, etc.. lots of sets.. oh and DEEP landing MR tuck jumps which i'm starting to like..
tomorrow = rest/walking/light sprints, tues = vertec maybe + basically this same workout, except, i plan on doing like 10 x 5 on pin 11 squat.
Nice jumping again, getting up great, and eddy's back, is he back to train? or just for a short time.

nah eddie is back just to dunk once in a while, although, he has a nice car now, so, if he wanted to train it would be feasible now.. we're going to meet up 2 saturdays from now and do another dunk session.. he'll be training on his own until then, we've already started planning things for that session, should be fun & hopefully some good new things on vid.
Seriously, how epic did have to make the video? That is sick. Just got back from clubbing in Auckland on the weekend. Got my first real taste of a dubstep club. It was insane. Then I get back and you've made this video. Good shit man, nice jumping too.

i honestly didn't jump to my potential either, i should have jumped higher.. kinda annoyed about my feet, they definitely impacted my vert yesterday.
ya, you can do them slightly bent over too in a nice semi bent leg + lean, that's how i do them, but you can definitely do them on a bench like that, it works just as well if not better.
I should have clarified in my original post, I too have absolutely no objection to anyone selling a good vertical jump program but somewhere in the CanHeDunk project literature or one of the vieos I can't remember, Alan made a point about how the programs were custom designed for the athletes involved and tailored to their needs. Which would then make the design of those programs for others to use not necessarily that great unless the other users needs were similar.
good point jackw, that's definitely relevant.. how is the program, does it have alot of customization or what? i imagine it's split into single leg jumpers vs double?

self alley off glass is getting closer.. i tried lobs from the other side, hit one but it was lame.. tried self lob 180, need to practice my spin more, doesn't work without practice.. lefty dunks were crappy.. two hand off dribble i did when i was too fatigued..
i'd love to get: - dribble up 1/2 handers, i dont know why they aren't going in.. hehe i just slam the ball too hard, and i can't grip it for shit anymore - lob reverse - lob 180 - lob from behind backboard TWO hander - lob lefty's - off backboard 1/2 hander
the plan for the next two weeks is to try and heal my feet more while improving my pin squat hardcore, while also getting my weight down more.. then hopefully i can redeem myself in the next dunk session with eddie, and adam will be there too most likely (from TVS).
So, stuff happened. One of my best friends is in the hospital right now after a motorcycle accident. Depending on what happens, I'll probably be out of training for a while. bleh outter left heel is swolen/has some calleous tissue forming... i need to start double socking, with thicker socks.. i use really thin socks.. not smart.. i'll probably go back to small cushiony ankle sock plus my thick white high socks, that feels really cozy.

bw = 153 soreness = none aches/inuries = left achilles/heel a little bit
workout: dunk session - got up great initially but my damn left heel (outer) and right bottom of foot freak out.. right bottom of foot the worse.. had to relax for 5 min then it actually disappeared for the rest of the session, so did heel, but i did like 5-6 jumps with it hurting and kind of burnt out slightly worrying about it.. - anyway, hit a bunch of dunks, made a mix, uploading now, .. almost got self alley off glass (in vid), so close on damn dribble up dunks but they keep flying out still bleh.. i tried mostly tricks after i landed a few regular one hand lobs, even tried reverses/180's/lefty dunks off lob.
