Basketball training

Aches/injuries/soreness : none

Not good. Was too damn hot and humid , lost the "pop" of last Wednesday. I dont know if i should blame the heat or Monday's max sprints. Bball endurance was good though.
Didn't do any max jumps, was so exhausted and dehydrated ( in a bad way ) that it was pointless.

I feel you, when I realized I had to dunk in the dead heat today I said F that, and went to that enclosed outdoor gym with less sleep.. i was damn near falling asleep on the way to that court even after coffee+milk + monster energy, but i'd rather dunk under those conditions than in 95 F humid sun, woulda been horrible.

The funny thing about that to me is that it was a shock to people when they realized how wack those claims were.  You should probably de bunk the tooth fairy and santa claus next.

ya exactly.. i don't understand how anyone could buy into those claims, man that's some weird shit..

I don't know if whole foods will have it but heres more specific what I am talking about: http://ezinearticles.com/?What-is-1,3-Dimethylamylamine?&id=3324614

sounds kinda crazy, how many times have you used it? would be interested in trying it, but only after researching it a shitload to make sure it's safe.

Question about the vertec: Do you re-measure the bottom rung every time? Looks like it's leaning a little bit so maybe not exactly the height you meant it to be?

i measured it after the lean, with the lean it might be an inch or so higher than 10'.. i need to strengthen the base.

Performance Training Blog / Re: Stopwatch Double Click
« on: September 15, 2010, 04:39:04 am »
I think I got 0.04 or 0.03 at some point when I was in high school and I used to play all day long with this... me and a colleague did this endlessly. It depends a lot on the watch, I probably couldn't do that with that watch you have in the movie... I had a normal hand watch that I did it with.

cool! it's addicting as hell isn't it? competitive people find ways to battle even the most minimal of foes, such as stop watches.. bwahaha. i love SWDC.

there's a baseball game people play with it (baseball players).. you click it, and try to stop it at 1.00 seconds..
- 1.00 = home run
- .99 = triple
- .98 = double
- .97 = single
- .96 or lower, 1.01 or great = out

so you do your clicks until you get 3 outs, then give it to your friend/opponent, and play baseball that way... shit is fun when you got nothing to do, it's a dugout game.

peace

It's crazy because I was thinking yesterday, when I saw you write LEVEL 7, about crazy stuff like this:

Have two walls: one wall behind the athlete and one wall 100m of the athlete ahead. Also walls to the side, so the athlete is running in a cubicle. Now the walls in front and back can raise and lower to block the athlete. Have one hungry/angry bear released 100m behind him. Both walls hit the ground and block whoever is in between them as soon as either the bear or the athlete cross their respective finish lines (for the bear it's the athletes starting line, for the athlete it's a line 100m ahead of that).

So basically, if the athlete finishes first he'll be OK because he'll have two walls in between him and the bear. If the bear finishes first, then the athlete will be trapped in between the two walls with the bear inside that space as well. :D

I was thinking about this because my sister said to me when we were in the mountains that she thought once you see a bear you should run... so I saw LEVEL 7, I thought about all this ^^^ and now I dreamed what I wrote above.

Crazy shit and correlations happening in the brain. Maybe that stupid center (basketball player) was the bear? Whatever.
