sick workout tonight

9/5/2010

bw = 157
soreness = none
aches/injuries = left heel

workout:
- 7 mile run : didn't time it, but fastest i've run in a long time, i basically kept pace the entire 7 miles and made sure to push the pace when i started thinking about backing down.. alot of it must have been at sub 7 min/mile pace.. started cramping right off the bat for about the first quarter then it disappeared, it had me worried, same spot as last night.

- C1: explosive half squat @ 135 x 1
- C1: partial bar-dips @ BW x 30 <-- felt so light like i was a feather hah
- C1-info: 4 rounds

- SSBAR stepups: 75 lb bar @ 1 x 10 each leg <-- didn't like stepups after all that crap, i have to walk the bar like 20 feet around obstacles too so i dno if im going to do them
- partial neutral grip pullups: BW @ 2 x 15

- partial rom GHR: 4 x 5
- pushups: 3 x 25

done :d

couldn't jump today, my obsession with trying to jump every day is going to kill my heel or make me a beast, the probably of the former happening is pretty high.. heh.. during my run i felt my heel off and on, it's basically bruised from my LR-DLRVJ plant.. hopefully tomorrow it feels good to sprint/jump, the plan is:
(monday)
- sprint
- jump
- 5.2 mi run
- 185 lb half squat + dips
- pullup
- glute bridges + calf raises

and to get an idea of what next day would look like:
(tuesday)
- short sprints
- 3.9 mile run
- work up to a very heavy single + 4 heavy singles
- dips/pullups
- ghr/pushups

trying to go light, moderate, heavy on lifts, while simultaneously going long, moderate, short on distance running.

right piriformis a bit tight.

fuck, i just tried it once like 5 mins ago, finger on neck.
abt 60 beats for 1 min. damn  :(

a RHR of 60 isn't bad for power athletes btw, though RHR is a good marker for how in condition someone is, people with insane aerobic + anaerobic conditioning don't have high RHR's.. also, if you want to compare to mine, you'd have to lie down for 5 minutes just relaxing then measure, that's how i measure mine.. it's still low regardless of doing that, but say my 42 might have been 48-50 if i just went from standing up to sitting down + measuring.

peace!

Yeah. I just measured mine to 70 sitting at the computer and working.

ah.. it should get lower with some of the stuff we have planned.

sick vids yup, devin hester is a freak.. his change of direction/acceleration is insane, his 40 doesn't do him justice.

my favorite kick returner of all time has to be dante hall though: 1:18 in is one of my favorite highlights ever, it's on barry sanders level

devin hester is definitely going to be around ALOT longer though, and just smash the record books.

resting heart rate = 43
- using 60 sec pulse

boom

you? never, you lie

uhhhh......

machine measured 42 back when i boxed in a cardiac rehab lab and i know how to measure my own pulse.. get lost with that dumb shit.

*lost*

I used to have a 38-40 when I woke up. Havent measured it in years though, so I dont know if its true anymore.

So Im not surprissed that Darq has it that low. Hes in a great shape.

damn 38!@#!

i wanna get into the 30's, low 30's would be a long term goal.. i've always wanted 39 so bad.

thats awesome.

Monday: Upper Body:
- (~5 minutes) warmup
- (~10-25 minutes) footwork / skill stuff / med ball throws
- (~3 minutes) shoulder prehab (prone Y T W)
- (~45 minutes)
- flat db bench: 3x5
- seated row: 3x5
- weighted incline pushups (2xF) SUPERSET weighted pullups (2xF)
- weighted horizontal pullups (2xF)
- shoulder matrix (3x10) SUPERSET Tricep Pushdown (3xF)
- (~10 minutes)
- stretch

wads with the (~45minutes)?

ya i could see how that could be confusing, it's simply stating how long the session below should be though.. the meat of the workout should be 45minutes, etc.. that's just a crude example of an upper/lower program utilizing msem.
