bummer. moving and gentle stretching is probably the way to go.

mapmyrun measures pace continuously and works on laptop and phone. i haven't used it to program workouts since i got a garmin but iirc the phone app does that as well. adarq uses strava.

as with many things, the basic version of mapmyrun and strava have decent but limited functionality (although it sounds like more than samsung fitness app), and if you pay you get more bells and whistles. for example i get 1 km splits in addition to the timeline of my pace*, but if i paid for an mvp membership i could get 100m and 500m splits. mapmyrun syncs automatically with my garmin, as would strava if i used that.

*and elevation, although the garmin is pretty inaccurate on that.

well that's a little more exciting than what jalen rose calls "hoooold me back" fights.

nothing will top the malice at the palace. i was watching that game live, on the shitty little TV we had in the house i shared senior year of college. unforgettable.

massage 2 this afternoon. my head was killing me before, headache went away during the massage but it's back now. gonna rest.

on the plus side, i bought a pull-up bar today, finally. it's easily adjustable within the doorway so should be able to use it for poor man's GHR and inverted rows.

^^^all good points, thanks. right now my SMR/mobility is rolling quads and then chest/shoulder opening so i'm there with you on the posture correction. need to get a chin-up bar, it's harder than it should be to find one here.

Reading, Books, & Sheeit / Re: Book Journal
« on: October 18, 2018, 10:45:37 am »
+1 good thread. i <3 books. started using goodreads.com to keep track of books read and books to be read, pretty good system. there's a social element, too, so you can have friends and follow what they're reading and planning to read. my gf is on there and a few other friends. i enjoy, ymmv.

right now i'm reading behemoth: a history of the factory and the making of the modern world, by joshua freeman; home fire, by kamila shamsie; and the island of doctor moreau, by hg wells (out loud with my gf).

IT bands felt tight for the first km. very weird, haven't had ITB issues in many years. huh. probably nothing. mild headache to begin with as well but that also went away. kind of day where i had to drag myself out the door but after 6-7 minutes i was cruising.
