missed some logging apparently.. just tons of dips lately (no pulls because of bicep).

2021-03-14

probably 400+ dips throughout the day, no joke. lol.

evening:
- 5:56 on sand/rock trail -> wasn't ez

- more dips, some rings
- rings with a friend, messing around
- also did a really solid 1 arm hang, surprised me.. felt like a monkey.. felt gr8.
- i think my upper is crazy strong right now

happy about that mile .. not easy to hit higher paces when the surface is a little slippery.

need to basically get my ~3 mile to 6:10 or so pace by april 17 .. then be able to drop that hard last 3rd mile in a race and get under 19.

yeah but i gave myself tendinitis in my elbow last year from pull ups. gotta be careful.

ya for sure. and i tweaked my bicep tendon recently "climbing my rack" .. but that was dumb.. and fun ;<

i've been happy just doing pushups/dips/pullups, loving it. in the context of hurting yourself: def less risky than getting gung-ho with weights, and results are decent so, can't complain.

finished the night sitting on the dock w/ a candle on my pine trunk table (lol) staring at the stars for an hour, with all lights off on the property/house. bliss.

oh forgot to mention, did 26 dips yesterday. major PR in the style of how i do them.

when i hit higher numbers like that it's just not a strict lockout.

normally i get 18-20 .. so 26 was pretty sick.

i think that pick axe stuff is some solid "slow long run cardio" .. lol.

think it's getting me in good shape.

and the good (bad) news is, i have like a year's worth of pick axe'n to do.... to rip up all of this hideous sod that was laid down god knows how long ago.

re ripping up sod/lawn grass: i'm creating mulch trails and flower/vegetable beds etc.. 0% sod. sod sucks. just a big mesh carpet that u have to maintain and nothing grows in it.
