Hey darq i couldnt find what thread to put this in but just wanted to ask if this would be an alright upperbody circuit to do 2x or 3x week. My legs are huge now and dwarf my upperbody and now i want some size and strength in the upper body.

warmup

Bench press BB or DB complexed with
bent over DB rows

Military press/push press BB or DB complexed with
BW Chinups

BB or DB Bicep curls complexed with
dips

KB or plate swings

too much or too little? sets x reps? sorry if i put this in the wrong place....thanks in advance

i like it, except for the kb/plate swings. I don't think it would be too much if it is a quick workout and the volume isn't too crazy.. do like:

(2x8) Bench press BB or DB complexed with
(2x8) bent over DB rows

(2x8) Military press/push press BB or DB complexed with
(3xF) BW Chinups

(2x8) BB or DB Bicep curls complexed with
(3xF) dips

nice but like LBSS said, definitely not full, more like quarter.. did you mean FREE squat? hehe

if you can't get any lower with back rounding etc, especially being a single leg jumper, make sure you go as deep as possible with proper form on your light warmups.. it'll gradually bring down the depth a bit with good form.

felt pretty achy/sore today... back bugging alot.. dribbling yesterday really wrecked me up.. ankles etc were sore. spent all day transferring over footage, working on some clips.. the intro has taken me like 3 hours and it's not even done yet, just experimenting with a ton of crap.

anyway, went and did more dribbling, went good.

went to a new spot to film, nice monument thing, lit up real good.. got some sick footage i think. even though i felt like crap, my coordination was better than yesterday, but thats just cause im getting my handles back. right toe hyperextended a bit in the last few minutes of the session, it's stinging.

i will probably rest tomorrow, do tons of pullups/dips etc, then film again on saturday.

peaCE!

Food poisoning yesterday = no workout yesterday or probably today.  >:( Diarrhea started around 6:30, puking around 8:30. In all I think I made 12-15 trips to the porcelain throne including six or seven times getting up in the night. I'm sort of okay now, but very dehydrated. And all I've eaten and kept down in the past 22 hours is a piece and a half of toast and some orange juice. Oh and a couple of saltines.

Also, I have epic DOMS in my glutes. From the BSS, I'm pretty sure. I think the food poisoning probably didn't help with this.

damn that sucks.. what gave you the poisoning, any idea?

btw when you are feeling better check pm hehe!

ya, the results of stim are highly dependent on work capacity/experience. Most people would experience a ton of fatigue from the 5RM squats, so i wouldn't expect there to be any large scale increase among a training group.

For average athletes, they are going to have to struggle off the bat, with squat stim. That's why I liked the IES stuff.

I personally never liked squat-stim, my knees would ache during the post-stim exercise, such as jumps etc. I had some real good jumping sessions when I did heavy squat singles in the morning and jumps at night, but my knees would ache pretty bad.. knees and shins actually.

For the most part, I like approaching stim from that delayed method, ie a workout on monday positively effective what you do on tuesday or wednesday, I think that is by far the most effective way to use those methods. Plus, most athletes, regardless of experience/work capacity, will see results from that. All that needs to be tweaked is what you do on the stim day (exercise intensity/rest intervals etc). Usually the stim sessions are VERY short and to the point, such as just working up to a heavy single, hitting a set on reverse hyper, and getting out of the gym.

pc!

What about ISO XTREME Stim.  My favorite is the ISO XTREME coupled with the car escape route VJ  from Level-7  You do those 2 and your vert will immediately increase 37.879%

I also like the XTREME Stim with the dog chase.  [racial joke]Works great for increasing speed of the white kids on the team.  The black kids seem to stay in a parasympathetic state when being chased by the pit bull... Not sure why [/racial joke]

lol ^

iso extremes provide the most stim because they are MAXIMAL ECCENTRICS AT EXTREMELY SLOW VELOCITIES. there's nothing more maximal than pulling yourself into position for 5 minutes. extreme.
