while tennis serving, i somehow followed through with the racquet right into my knee.. after cooling down i can barely walk or bend/straighten it.. the pain is insane.. i played on it for like an hour after i hit it - it was hurting, but not like its hurting now.

unbelievable how much fail i contain.

i did a bunch of other stuff today too, even lifted/squatted, but this is all that i feel like posting..

31 August 2009

Another failed dunk session.
This time feet were recovered , felt good , had my carbs and cafeine ready... and 30' before i go there it rained!  >:(
I still went but it was terribly slipery, couldnt get a decent runup.
Standing VJ was at my PR levels (26+) , running was at 31,5'' but it was rather dropstep jump than running jump.
The good thing is that i had many of those 31+ jumps , and they felt rather easy too.
As for the dunks? i had like 0/15 , they were all backriming. No surprise , i cant dropstep-dunk on 10' yet, especially on wet concrete!!! :-\

nice man.. i figure you have a few more sessions in you before you feel back to normal.. perhaps you might even be able to running & standing PR from having just done drops / bw stuff etc & not much jumping..

oh and you jumped on a slippery surface wtf..

PR's soon ;d

drops will make jumping FEEL EASY.. thats always what i've encountered.. i don't feel I muscle up as much when i do drops/depth jumps... seems like you're experiencing this also.

keep zoning in mentally because I feel you have some PR's in you from how your 29th/31 days went..

peace man!

2.5 hours of tenis
- hitting was insane.. hardly made any errors the entire time.. i had a few 30+ shot ralley's with my dad (when we were trying to hit it hard but keep it in play).. my single hand backhand was on point today, got under the ball better by dipping my knees a little lower, made all the difference.

100 neutral grip pullups
- first set 17... then kept repping them out until i hit 100 with short rest breaks

damn.. why havn't you lifted for 3 months??? if you are at 33.5" now, you should respond well when getting back into lifting.

4x6 depth drops from 40" is hardcore..

awesome that you started a journal..

damn.

tried to do 300 pushups as quick as possible, meaning, very short rest breaks after i hit failure.. anyway i got to 200.. by 180 i could barely hit 5 in a row, 5 was complete and utter failure.. i tried to take 10s breaks after my first set of 53, shit was crazy

so

53, 15, 10, 10, 10 .... 5, 5, 5, 5 = 200

was fun ;d

quads are COMPLETELY dead from yesterday,.... glutes are pretty sore too.. hamstrings seem fine.

workout 1: LOW RIM DUNKS

lol, low rim dunking sucks.. so hard for me to jump high doing it.. it was kind of fun though.. i hit some reverse pumps, 360's, 180 windmill was close.

i took 4 jumps without the ball, got up around 35" at 175 lb.
- excuse #1: 175 lb.
- excuse #2: not really into jumping at the moment
- excuse #3: like 100 degrees outside
- excuse #4: sore from all those damn lunges

hah

tonight probably more lower body/upper body.. i might go do some low rim dunks every day just to relax and keep jumping.. mostly submax shit though.. who knows.

peace

Both of them are weird as fuck...
The blind person sucks ass and should just quit. I don't care if he's blind and a kid, has he ever gotten a hit?

And wtf?
How can that guy fight, no one wants to hit him, you could tell the other guy felt awkward as fuck. What would that be like; finding out you have to fight someone with no limbs...

What would it be like having no limbs?  You want these guys to just sit at home and do nothing cause they have disabilities.  The blind thing is kinda crazy, but at least they are trying and going for a dream.

Kyle Maynard was actually a pretty good wrestler, crazy upper body strength, and low center of gravity.

going for a dream is cool, but you what they are doing is dumb.. maynard doing mma = pointless, someone mean is just going to punt him out of the cage and kill him..

the blind kid playing football is so dangerous.. one angry kid on the other team goes for his legs and he may never walk properly again..its obvious the other team isnt going after him, if they did, he'd be in a hospital, even if it is only youth football.

they are doing sports that make no sense..

maynard wrestling made sense..

it sucks bad that they both have those disabilities but you have to choose something you can legitimately compete in without getting destroyed..
