omg forgot to mention.. yesterday I almost legit killed myself.

I was cutting bamboo with my miter saw, for bamboo vases.. so I had this bright idea to try and cut one at an angle, bevel-ish cut etc. So I angle it and go to saw into it, and BOOM.. the miter saw/bamboo torque-exploded, bamboo shot like a bullet, as well as several pieces of the miter saw (just blew off).

fucking insane.. lucky af.

coulda torn right through my leg. god damn.

tons of pullups/dips throughout the day .. off/on during farm life. farmed ALL day.

also ordered literally $190 worth of flower seeds........... lmfao. but it's worth it. can't wait for this 2 lb thing of sunflowers+cosmos. says it's for the summer, but will try a few early.

i have tons of sunflowers growing at the moment.

i've been slowly building up the flower farm directly adjacent to the house, so i can easily water etc. going good so far.. every bed is PACKEd with wildflowers+sunflowers. not blooming yet, but growing fast.

exciting.

Today

Meditation 1 hr
Cycle commute - there's 1 big hill and it's starting to feel really easy haha, practicing it too much.
Really crazy week at work. 5 long (13 hour days) in 6 leaves so little time for anything else. Actually enjoyed it though, intubated my first icu patient today which was kinda cool. Non covid work coming back adding some variety too. Meditation is for sure making it a lot easier to deal with work and stress.

Long run tomorrow hopefully!

damn @ intubating someone.. :o

good stuff man. that's nuts.

and enjoy that long run tmw! i consider that a form of meditation right there hah.

When you are sick such as have a cold or flu. You always seem to have strange dreams such as I had dream of a television advert of tablets (medicinal).

even without meds, i dream crazy when i'm sick.

yea man i feel really lucky to have nabbed up this spot. it's EXACTLY what i was looking for.

was going to start with food farming (veg/fruit etc) .. but i've transitioned into flowers. in the process of creating tons of plots, throwing wild flower seeds everywhere. want to eventually sell the flowers to some local bouquet people etc, in order to get some $$ back. but mostly i'm doing it just because i love flowers, and want the property to look insane.

yea for sure. i haven't done anything "fun" yet, don't really plan to. i just use my rack for dips/pullups.

farm work itself is an amazing workout. soo.. i enjoy that.

nah i've been running still, ~1x/wk. i got injured a few years ago, wrecked me bad. some hip injury. took a year to heal up to the point where i could jog slow without any pain.

feel like i'm 99% now .. but that 1% can easily cause a tweak. so, im just running light on trails, enjoying the scenery, snapping a few photos.

ya ive been doing pullups/dips mostly for teh physique benefits. it's def doing the job for now. should get on my rings eventually too.
