MIA picked a good time to lose 4 games in a row.

the story with MIA is this jack-up-3-pointers syndrome. they get themselves in position to win, and then they just jack up 3 after 3, abandoning what got them there.

I think this game vs TOR they went 12-35 or something from 3.. they were on fire in the paint/driving to the basket all game.. then they end it with like 10+ straight 3 pointers.



if DET/BKN both win tonight, MIA is out.

MIA doesn't deserve to be in tho, playing like this. so frustrating.

even wade... a guy who can get to the rim better than anyone, jacking up contested 3's when we don't need to.

VA will take it probably easier than expected - that is, if Tariq Ownes can't play (nasty ankle roll but he's made of rubber apparently). Hoping he's back and is fine. If that's the case, then it'll be a great game. That dude goes super saiyan out there.

Jerome/Guy are too lethal tho imho. Jerome especially.. dude can really create. Then Guy steps up at the biggest moments.

i'd be happy to see either team win it. I actually like their coaches too. It personally bothers me a little when coaches are complete spazzes on the sidelines, like Izzo and Pearl - ffs, relax a bit. I guess the spazzing bothers me because it just comes off as them thinking they have "more control" than they actually do. ie, as if Izzo is pulling every string & orchestrating everything on the court. News flash, he's not.

Hope it's a great game. This tournament has been incredible.

i like to just relax on the downhill, ie not trying to accelerate, not trying to slow down, just right there in the middle letting gravity do the work. so i go harder uphill, neutral downhill.

and ya, shins/quads/knees can get wrecked going too fast downhill. you don't really feel the affects of it at the time, but later on in the race you def can, and certainly the next day(s).

RJ Barrett sucks and it's ludicrous that he got the ball at the end of the game. Per some guy on Twitter: "Duke lost three games with Zion Williamson in the lineup this year. RJ Barrett went ***0-for-9*** in the final minute of those three games. The rest of the team had three total shots. Zion had one."

teh fuq. barrett doesn't suck. he's a beast. he's one of the best players in college basketball.

he might have struggled at the end of some of those games mentioned, but i'm sure his stat-line for each of those games was a reason why Duke was even in them.

Zion isn't aggressive enough to demand the ball every play at the end. He reminds me of Lebron in that respect - he likes to dish the ball out early, and sometimes stay out of the play entirely.

i'm not sure of Barrett's numbers in that Mich St / Duke game but i'm sure they were solid - he had a great first half.

both zion & barrett had career highs in turnovers. they also suck at free throws.

zion caught the college basketball flu unfortunately (shot too many threes).

mich st's PG is impressive, had himself an incredible game.
