TMI, but this was a purely ass-based bout of food poisoning. last time i had it i puked an astonishing amount and had diarrhea, so this time wasn't as bad. still, need to get my hands on some gatorade or similar on my way to work later (working from home this morning).

and yeah, QT is good. fuck me, i'm still embarrassed by that post.  :uhhhfacepalm:

i always forget you work daffy hours. for me 233 hours is 29 days of vacation (8 hour workday). still, not bad. and a six-week sabbatical sounds amazing. i had an unpaid one last year and it was amazing. imagine i'll take another whenever i leave here for good.

you've been with the same company since you were 19?

also, what are you gonna do on your forced day off?

yesterday

- hike x ~4 miles
had to stop because friend's groin, which she strained running months ago now, started acting up when the going got steep. she wanted to keep going but i initialized anti-ego hiking squad.

tonight

- food poisoning-induced trips to the porcelain throne x 6 and counting
fuuuuuck being sick. left work early, thought i could take a nap and wake up and get some work done, but i feel worse now than i did before. hard to stay hydrated.

heavy yard work is the best shit. owning a place with a proper yard is a goal down the line for many reasons, but being able to plant and prune and chop and all that is one.

something in my left hand always feels off when doing curls. it's weird and uncomfortable. doesn't bother me during any other movement.

- squat friend ~60kg x 15
had a lot more in the tank obviously but stopped early because we were on her concrete patio and the ground rushing up at her on the eccentrics freaked her out a little. gonna try again another time, maybe with a bed or couch close by that she could bail onto, would be interesting to see if i could get to 40 with her on my shoulders. on the plus side, knee feels great.

yeh you right. i didnt meet her on some online dating app tho. knew her irl kinda thru acquintances so i cant just ask her out straight up, would be a bit akward if she declined. but nevermind, at least i wont waste more time now. also girls will agree to something just to go out wiht you and then change the venue/activity to suit them in my experience .. it's saying yes thats' important not so much what you initially propose doing

ah, then yeah best to be careful. a friend of mine is dealing with a related situation right now: crushing on/flirting with her neighbor but needing to play it real slow and make super sure he's interested before she makes a move because he lives literally 20 feet away from her. don't want to create an awkward-elevator situation if you don't have to

my friend the yoga teacher has a client with a winged scapula. asked her just now. she's had some success with band-resisted scap protractions (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mSAeOOaAuc) and scap presses (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqr4ghqgWS4). weak serratus anterior is a contributing factor to winged scap and both of those target it.

also she obviously knows some good yoga positions for strengthening/increasing awareness and control around shoulder. specifically:
-holding plank (we did this this morning, with the cue to press the floor away from you)
-rotating through side planks
-chaturanga dandasana
-cobra
-locust
-crow and side crow
