Oh, I'm not encouraging you to partake in either of them, I'm simply saying there is a big difference between having a few drinks or hits and having a good time from the effects versus sleeping in your vomit. I also think it's retarded that weed is illegal while alcohol isn't, but that should change within the next couple of decades.
If you're front squatting I think you'd be better suited to do low bar squats and/or very hip dominant compound movements like RDLs/isolation glute exercises like hip thrusts. You should get plenty of quad hypertrophy from the front squats, no reason to be redundant with high bar squats.

IMO you can go much safer with pushups/weighed pushups/elevated feet pushups.
Also, bodyweight lunges seem much safer than doing heavy squats. True story.
