this is not an extreme, THERE IS STILL MORE ROM LEFT.. GET A LITTLE DEEPER GUYS, ELEVATE THE FRONT FOOT AND BACK FOOT AND LET YOUR NUTS HIT THE FLOOR IN A FRONT SPLIT VAN DAMME STYLE.

what measurable improvements have you seen doing these? i see people trying them all the time and they just waste their time..

Yeah when I go for volume I also go with lower weights and those lower weights allow me to get really really deep and the whole leg is sore after that.

3:00 is Jared Cunningham, he's a rookie.

He did this in the NCAA:

Freak out = I'll feel so tired and anxious I'll go crazy and pass out or go around running like a lunatic.

It's easy: looking at him he displays himself as a thin, weak guy. The end.

Here's an idea:

Two explosive workouts per week:

Workout A:

Depth jump 3x5 from medium box
Jump squat with reset after each rep: 3x5 with 30% of your 1RM
ALTERNATED with
1/4 rhythmic jump squat: 3x10 with an empty barbell
Squat 6x1 with 90%

Workout B:

DJ 3x5 from high box
1-2 jump squats 3x5 with 30% 1RM
Explosive squat 6x2 with 60% 1RM

There ya go. Try that for a month or so and see what happens.

EDIT: Oh, and one more thing: when you go to jump and jump a few times and think "this sucks, I'm giving up - don't. Continue to GO GET IT". There's been a handful of times I saw you write that and DO that which makes me think you're missing a ton of possible jump practice because you just don't like how you move and just quit and go strength train again and get worse and worse plyometrically.

You have to ask yourself "what's wrong with my jump as far as movement goes". It could be that you're so quad dominant or something, but honestly you don't look bad (in fact you look much better than me) off two feet. Very quick and snappy. It could actually help if you would "load" more in the plant and benefit from your strenght more instead of bouncing so quick off the ground like you do now. I don't know.

Yeah it doesn't make any sense. I want to know the scientific basis that these guys have to jump so high.

Yeah I agree the side bar is somewhat annoying, especially as the whole forum name doesn't get into it and you see "...", but then again you can't afford to lose screen real-estate viewing the entire name so...

But it's also useful, I takes away from having to watch around and see what forum has new messages into it.

3760
Yeah you could switch to an explosive regime for a month or so and then get back to squatting heavy again.

I'd definitely do 20 reps squats if I weren't too pussy to do them.

The last time I did them was half squats with 90 kg, they were pretty easy to do. Right now I'm not doing them cause I'll just freak out in the gym.

3762
Probably anxiety related ^^^

I mean I get the "he's got a great structure for jumping" but as far as strength goes... I mean com'on...

Yes he might be very glute dominant and have some glute hypertrophy but seriously, this is the last guy you'd say he's got "some pretty strong legs". Yes yes, the Ziani story all over again.
