2:01:40 for Kipchoge. That's a new WR, 1:17 faster than the previous WR.

In the last 50 years, the marathon WR has dropped like ~6 minutes total. Today, it dropped by another full minute, and more.

That's absolutely mind blowing.

KIPCHOGE.

well under WR pace. incredible.

BUT, he's down to 1 pace maker (BOIT - great job man) at 20+ km.. and no one is anywhere near him.

Kipsang is running a very intelligent race... he's chasing Kipchoge, closing the gap on him after being 1m+ behind.

Kipchoge looks so incredible now.. he's basically on 61:00 pace?

got a german language stream on in the background while i do some work. it's amazing to watch the start of a race that big, thousands and thousands of people squeezing together toward the start line and then breaking into a run in a continuous wave.

ya. only been to two of those. once started in the middle, was hectic. other was in the front, not hectic.

fun being around that many runners tho, tons of energy.

leaders hit the first km in 2:43. i did 3:41 as one of two tempo kms yesterday.  :derp: :uhcomeon: :goodjobbro: :almostascoolasnyancat:

hah ya man it's so insane.. and my 1km PR is 2:52... and i was pushing as hard as possible.

they are incredible.

light + speed.

feel a bit weird since getting my ears unblocked. actually feel kinda "dizzy" (very slight at times). it's weird.

first day not looking at watch AND not looking at pace data. I took screenshots but didn't look "in" to them, so no clue about the actual paces etc.

I even disabled my resting HR widget........

about to sleep.. waking up at ~3:30 AM EST to watch the Berlin Marathon. Kipchoge is in shape to break the WR, don't want to miss that. :ibrunning: :ibrunning: :ibrunning:

- felt better tonight but still feel jacked up
- felt pretty fast .. no idea though.
- im guessing the first effort was ~900m-ish, next two were ~450m-ish.
- legs didn't feel too bad after lunges, adapted again .. left knee bugging afterwards a little tho, icing it.

I have a 5k race on September 25th (i think that's the date). I'll go back and look at my data after that race.. haha.

def feels weird but I like it so far.

legs felt solid after lunges. left hamstring was a little sore during the lunges, but overall, pretty much adapted.
