teh fuck happened to James.

he's really wrecked.

the rest of CLE's starters only had 10 points.. wtf. :/

asked and answered lol

Haha truth!

I am at work and just had the play by play going on. Whenever I looked all I saw was missed 3 point attempt over and over again. Incredibly frustrating.

ya man. this is just bad coaching IMHO.

For example, Popovich teams don't do this.. I can always expect the Spurs to look like they know how to play team basketball.

CLE is very frustrating to watch. Any team who can go from "amazing" if they are hitting 3's, to "complete shit" if they aren't .. is extremely frustrating to watch, and bad for basketball in general. Unfortunately this is what the league is transformed into :/

180523 Spike on Track Vs Sneaker on Pavement

I had 2 serious session doing actual 100m since I finished my exam.
- 1st session with spike on track and ran 3 time before nervous break down.  First run with fresh body at 12:53sec   2nd and 3rd run fall down to high 14s  with body clearly gave up and barely kept up after 60 or 70 meters.  I concluded that my body is NOT ready to last a 100m.

- 2nd session (Yesterday) with normal sneaker on the road. Google map measure distance 100m.  First run powerful all till the end, 2nd and 3rd attempt also feel like I have more in me, but I felt a slight pain in my right hamstring after my 2nd run, and I decided to stop after my 3rd run... the soreness gotten stronger as if I Pulled a muscle slightly deep inside.   The time is... shocking 15:50 more or less.
Wat the hack.

 :o

you just ran 3 hard 100's again?

:uhhhfacepalm:

also, google maps for 100m isn't too accurate. surprised you're even looking at those times & using them to compare to your previous track times.

This exactly the reason why I Thought I can compete in 100m, I thought I have enough power/endurance to do 100m from my HIIT experience yrs ago.  Or my Squat is explosive enough i thought.

how could you think that? key phrase: "yrs ago"

I think Now I may understand a little more, with sneaker on pavement, I am sliding in every stride, I feel my every steps is powerful, like an engine spinning fast all the way till the end.   Little did I know, I am drifting and sliding in every steps. I feel like my motor is spinning fast with my leg going fast... but I guess it is because I do not have grip, or my tire is too slick.
That is the reason for the low 15s result.   (OR MAY BE GOOGLE MAP DISTANCE IS JUST wrong? lol)

With Spike on my feet, I started to feel tired 60m into the run... and barely hang on till the end BUT THE TIME is STILL MID 14s.  What the hack...
Does this mean my engine is too weak, and with Grippy Tire, My engine will just over heat after 60m?

wtf

Quote
One more thing, I ran with spike with a semi full stomach.  Where as on the pavement with a empty stomach.  After that near death experience with spike, I also rested 10 min or so on pavement between run just to be sure.

Just some finding/thinking to record for my training log.

Furthermore,  Runner List with name is now available. and I did some GOOGLE data searching.
Only 8 runners for this event.  (found 5 runner records... they must be Track Fans.) :o
If my 12:53 is legit, and my left hamstring recover fast enough, I still have a chance.  3 days left.

Played the social netball game last night which in itself wasn't that exciting. Did some jumps after the game though which were pretty good though. Did some SL running dunks with a netball and was easily getting my wrist to the rim. This puts my SLVJ at about 29-30" which is very surprising given the last of training/jumping in recent times. Also makes me think I can get this back up a few inches without too much additional effort (get more jumps in/get more strength in).

You can do dunks with a 30" SL jump?? a netball is like a soccer ball, right? i remember we have the same standing reach and i'm maybe an inch short of dunking with 2-hand grip off 1 leg. interesting how both your and adarq's sl jumps didn't drop off without specific training for it. 38" seems kind of a stretch to me, how would you go about doing that?

for me, probably has to do with all of the SL jumps i've done in my life (via basketball/layups, I was very dedicated from age ~12 to ~22), and how light I am. what's funny though is, my L-SLRVJ is higher now (28 or so probably) without specifically training for it, than when I was say - a high schooler (26 or so), playing basketball every day etc. So I learned & fine tuned those motor patterns back then, but just became stronger later on (during dunk training, and retaining some level of strength afterwards). I think once you teach yourself how to get "very strong" (really pushing your limits), that stuff doesn't just disappear. The mindset/neurological aspect of it remains.

I probably could get to ~30" after a few weeks, maybe ~32" after a few months. 35-37" would take a long time though. Not sure what my L-SLRVJ was at the end of my dunk phase, but it was probably around 37" max, 34-35" avg, which had me landing some solid single leg dunks. Loved the speed aspect of L-SLRVJ, that's why I got addicted to it towards the end. Enjoyed that more than DLRVJ where I felt limited speed-wise.

damn nice. :ibjumping:

Thanks mate. It got me wondering again how high I can push this. Would love to get elbow to ring which would sit around 38".

np!

that'd be nutty. if you want it, get after it! if you're already at wrist to rim with infrequent jumping/training, that's a great starting point. i'd be motivated as hell too :D i'm probably fingertips. :D

no reason you can't do some of the other speed/run stuff as well, in some amount (if you want that too). overall fitness improvements are important.

12 pt lead and CLE chucking up 3's.. so annoying. Especially when it's Clarkson every time clanking it.

This is unrelated but ive got the game playing on mute and it's so much more enjoyable without the usual commentary. Makes me think if someone came up with a way to do asmr style commentating i'd enjoy that a lot more b/c you could background watch a game without having your attention constantly being grabbed by loud boorish commentators like Mark Jackson or Van Gundy.

i've heard the commentator audio go out a few times in my life, just listening to the game.. was amazing. loved it. wish you could control that.
