Haha, I didn't do that now... that was some time ago (a year or so). My back is fucked because of the Smith Machine and me doing calf raises on that.

Well if I take me as an example, when I used to do unracks it was just my entire core "shaking" and feeling this "twisting" thing going on... like my spine was totally unstable and under the possibility of a little twist. You don't need me to tell you how dangerous that is. But if that's not the case for you, then...

Meaning, you're not actually squatting etc. If you were, you were limited by the ROM, TUT, fatigue, leg strength in disadvantageous positions etc to "help" you prevent using too much. But here, you're only limited by "back strength" but if that fails... there's a much lower threshold for error.

So what you're actually trying to say is "Get fat, play "ball" and be happy. You're going to be a superstar". I think I've heard this somewhere else before...

I think they mean to "have a bigger belly". They (the powerlifters) say a bigger belly means a bigger "base" for the squat to be executed.

I'd definitely use a belt though in these kind of situations, way too much weight for the back's health.

my motto is, if you need a belt, you shouldn't be lifting it..

Mine's too, but you're not actually "lifting". No need for extra danger.

My approach speed increases at lower rims, because at higher rims I have the tendency to take an even longer last step and go slower so I have more time to apply force, but this is while using an one-leg jump. Not sure what kind of jumping you use.

But on lower rims I can go quicker since the rim is lower and my approach becomes better.

i like the idea of moving the unracking pins down gradually over time.. not crazy low but enough to get some extra work in at slightly deeper rom.. did that tonight, was good.

Me too, you could even hold it one inch above pin height and do some sort of an iso.

Yeah, a life changing experience.

A friend of mine told me a story about how a teacher of his, at the University level, got his car robbed. So they called the cops. And the cop, when he came, said "and what do you want me to do about it?!".

In another similar event, the cop said "well, I didn't tell you to let valuable stuff in the car!".

That's how it is... makes me realize how much I bitch all day.

There were some annoying ass kids (like 12 of them) following me one day. I was I think 13 years old at the time. I crossed the street like 5 seconds before the oncoming car was going to. The kids followed me and annoyed the driver and he had to slow down.
I finished crossing and this old man comes up from behind and slaps the shit out of me, upside the head. WTF???

I said "why did you hit me?!"
"You're supposed to watch out for those kids, you're older than them." (I was 13... they were 10?)
"??? I don't even know them!"
"Do I give a shit?"

It's not a big deal really. But if that happened in America, BAM LAWSUIT + NEWSPAPER HEADLINE.

"Random elderly man attacks 13 year old after crossing street."

Hahahahahaha, that makes me remember that teacher things calling "niggers". Are you kidding me? Here the teachers punch you and it's considered "normal".

When I was in the 3rd grade, so about 10 years old, one ~240 lbs math teacher slapped me with a lot of power (he really put in force, it wasn't just a simple slap) because my tennis ball (I was playing "soccer" with it) went over the fence and it was ringing of break end, so I looked at him as if to say "hey, I'm going to jump the fence only to get the ball since it's the break's end so I don't get late" and I jumped the fence and when I got back to the door to get into the school he slapped me with HATE :D

So I had three options:

1) Lose my ball and not get late;
2) Go around the fence, get the ball, get late, get slapped for being late;
3) Go over the fence, get the ball, get late, get slapped for being late.

Guess choosing number 3 didn't help. But hey, the guy was a real hero, at 240 lbs slapping 10 year old kids with hate is pretty heroic in my book, so props for him. Takes a real man to do it.
