Just remembered about the Duval Street Mile .. and it's soon! (April 26th!)

I want to do it .. but it's a 4 hour drive lmao! It's basically on the edge of the Southern most tip of the US, lmfao!! Will look into the various options.

The site is hideous but awesome, lots of cool stats, records, lists, etc.

http://duvalstreet.webplus.net/index.html

I could possibly top 3 OA this and potentially get on the top 25/set a record for 35 y/o. Enticing..

edit: maybe i'll invite my aunt. dno.

edit:

~$200+ for a 1 hour flight.. forget that.

~$9 or $25 for a 3 hour 45minute bus ride....................... hm..................... I can do that. Then I can just take a nap in there, chill, not worry about driving or my car breaking down etc.

Also, it literally takes me 0.7 mi from the race start!! Seems like this might be the option.

All signs pointing to me doing this race. :ibrunning: :ibrunning: :ibrunning:

edit: they've got finish line video as well. (guy in first two vids (same year) finished @ 4:28 .. occasionally this race is crazy fast for #1)

Did my mini tri yesterday. Race (using that term loosely) result below:

http://my1.raceresult.com/94390/5481/Online%20Certificate%20-%20GTS

Was fun in a weird kind of way. The swim was pretty bad. I got a bit of white line fever and tried to keep up with the first pack. Didn't even realise it at the time but figured it out after about the first 150m when I was spent. Used a fair bit of survival backstroke on the way back in haha.

The ride and run were both weird. Kept well within my limits on both which was kind of disappointing but also didn't have any point of reference given it's my first event and was flying blind as my watch doesn't have a triathlon function.

Either way was fun and I'll definitely do more at the end of the year but the sprint distance this time. Have 6 months to train for it so I can be slightly more competitive next time.

pretty sick man. now that you have some experience, going to be easier to go hard the next one. could do some road races and such in between, to improve your "race day" prep etc.

confused about the watch tho .. why does it need a triathlon function? sorry, don't know anything about triathlons. i'd imagine it would still give you pace/mileage etc and such?

Golden boy president eric gomez and oscar dela hoya hyping up canelo too much that they would lie.

canelo underwent surgery which dela hoya and golden boy team said it was cosmetic surgery.

or was it.

unrelated, or perhaps related .. why do you keep making so many (enormous) typos? it's not something new, but just felt like mentioning it regarding the greater context. attention to detail, in typing & training.

as an overall theme, don't neglect the small, seemingly unimportant components.

:ibjumping:

peace!

So ofc you obviously won't find any videos of the races from the gold coast unless on social media a small bit or bad quality. So I watched the 10k race and uploaded the video on youtube after editing the unnecessary other athletics event because it is a long event and then i find out it is only allowed in certain countries cos of bbc copyright content restricted to uk.

But the race was close but the first and second place runners just kicked it to another gear towards the last lap or so.

so here is the video.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-XPpRoRHa8" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-XPpRoRHa8</a>

And for the people who can't watch the youtube video cos it's blocked in your country then you have the link below.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6hrpzy

Enjoy

Will delete it in a few days.

Thanks alot dude!! Dailymotion still works!! haha. sick. going to watch in a sec.
