i mean some places already do impervious surface taxes. the town next to my hometown, for example, and my girlfriend's hometown. it's a pretty sensible thing to tax, really. for maryland, the bay and its tributaries aren't going to clean themselves up, that shit is expensive. hardtop and roofs and stuff are among the leading contributors to water pollution. solution: tax owners of things that harm the environment to help clean up the environment that we all help damage.

w/r/t rain tax: not white house, not sure where you heard that. just maryland, where governor o'malley signed a law last year, passed by the maryland legislature, authorizing a tax on impervious surfaces (ones that don't absorb any water when it rains) for 10 counties and baltimore. basically a small fee levied to help pay for upgrading stormwater management systems. it's up to individual counties how to implement it.

i don't think adarq has banned anyone yet for trolling. nor should he, trolls are harmless most of the time. hyperdunk is worth an eye roll or a laugh from time to time, although now that he's getting more obvious he's not as funny.

a while back (two years?) i asked adarq for an ignore function but he said no, guess downvoting into oblivion will have to suffice.

tonight gonna go check out a park i found out about that's about a 20-minute walk from my gym. no track but it does have a brand-new turf field so hopefully will be good for some bounding. we'll see how busy it is. plus the proximity to the gym means combo workouts (i.e. bounding and sprinting and the like plus lifting) are actually feasible.

ahahahaha i was trying to figure out what he was going to do. amazing. that gym seems ideal, though: a few barbells and weights, a GHR, and obviously a basketball court.

yikes loopie! mine wasn't that bad, or at least i hope not. anyway, followed through on my elastic work today. good for me.

WEIGHT: ???
SORENESS: none
ACHES/INJURIES: stitches in left thumb, can't fully open and or extend thumb; right shoulder from the tetanus shot
MENTAL STATE: high motivation, uncertain

- warm up
did some 60m repeats. right knee a little tight/weird below kneecap but it went away.

- DL bound 15y x 4
i bet this was actually less than 15y. got each set after the first in fewer than six reps (sixth rep passed the marker). that'd be just over 9' per bound, which seems unlikely.

- SL bound for height 15y x 4
awkward.

- standing sprint 15y x 4
slow.

- interval sprint 120+120+120+120

- stretch

everything submax, done barefoot until the standing sprints and then in racing flats. grass was pretty bumpy/uneven. could not have done ME even on a good day for fear of ankle twist.

welp, i cut the ever-loving shit out of my thumb last night. two hours in the ER and a few stitches later i'm not going to work out today. was planning on track work so lifting would not have been an obstacle but i'm not even supposed to get the stitches wet for the first 24 hours. will hit the track tomorrow for some semblance of sprinting/bounding. my work capacity on that shit is bound to be quite low, so intensity and volume will be correspondingly easy.

where is the first pic?

^Right. I only had access to a 18" box before so its all I could use but if you have multiple heights to choose from try them all (within reason lol) and see which one you jump higher from. Judging by your squat I'd lean toward your calves, you've got a good squat. Do you train calves LBSS?

nope but they're about to rocket up the priority list as i back off on my squat and start focusing more on speed and power stuff.

depth is significantly better than before but your knees are collapsing from start to finish. legs not externally rotating enough. if you fixed that i bet you'd squat more and squat more comfortably, too.

kelly starrett has some great videos on this, not to mention pretty ridiculous mobility himself. i do this sequence every workout:
