There is a possibility of a showdown taking place between lomachenko and rigondeux December 9th at the Theater of Madison Square Garden in New York on ESPN. Both sides are optimistic that it will get done.

ok so this guy is a globe trotter, so he's not unknown .. but i think he's trying to get more into the dunk game.

that video i posted a few posts back, is legit (minus some cam angle):

dude is serious.

i think this guy has more potential in the dunk game than he realizes... he's got the height + wingspan + vert to be at that elite level. TFB commenting on his vids "we need to do a session" .. that's the crazy thing, dude has been around for a while but he's not known too well in the dunk game. That should definitely change, hope he contributes more.

rim was definitely a little low, 9'10 probably.

idgaf tbh, for most of the dunks.. however, if they tried to claim a double BTL on 9'10, i'd call it out for sure.

most people who comment "RIM IS LOW!!" on the videos etc, I mean I definitely understand how they get annoyed, but these guys can get head to rim (or higher) on legit 10' so, i've come to not really care if they dunk on a 9'10 to help them entertain a crowd of people a little easier. I've "grown" into that stance. As long as they can hit the same tricks on legit 10', then I have no problem with it. And for the most part, they really can land these on legit 10' ... you get them in a real contest with adrenaline and tons of fans + money on the line, and they won't have much of a problem getting a few inches higher... Stuff like double BTL on 9'10 though?? definitely can't claim that as a 10' dunk .. so i'm glad he didn't land it.

life PR: my net worth is now over $100,000 for the first time.

:highfive: I like the way you roll.

Its ok if it was a cumulation of quality life choices, effective savings and prudent investing.

But I do hope a little it is your bank roll from a string of late night high $ gambling sessions with a guy named Teddy KGB.

^^ very solid post.

Supposedly bieber going to hillsong church for counselling and as a result he unfollows mayweather on instagram, which ofc he is a bad role model, but mayweather reacts calling bieber a traitor.

Quote
That’s because Bieber did the unforgivable to Mayweather, prompting the world champion boxer to go “insane” and “nuclear,” according to TMZ.

Odds of mcgregor losing has gone down so much, he has become less of an underdog than miguel cotto was, maidana like wtf, betting industry think because of 8 oz gloves he has become more of a threat than miguel cotto and maidana. lol

wtf?

A huge amount of money has started being placed on McGregor over the past week, with the UFC star’s odds in the United States tumbling from +950 to +325 over the past few weeks.

And, according to OddsShark.com, McGregor’s tumbling odds mean that betting on Mayweather to win at the current rate provides better value than every one of his previous fights dating back to 2011 — with the exception of the Manny Pacquiao and Canelo Alvarez contests.

That means McGregor is now less of an underdog than the likes of Miguel Cotto, Zab Judah, Andre Berto, Victor Ortiz and Marcos Maidana (twice).

toast today. PR wreckage.

bw = 154
soreness = upper body (chest/biceps/lats/abs especially) from yesterday's session 1 pullups/dips, lower body slightly(hamstrings, glutes), lower back moderate, hips moderate, right calf sore
aches / injuries = left foot (PF) slightly, non-painful blister on right big toe

right calf and left PF a bit better .. best they've been in the last ~3-4 days.

edit: during dog walk, left PF (seems more like a bone issue tbh) was bothering me, stretched the area and made it worse. heh. :pissed:
- deep digging massage when i got home, loosened it up alot.
- might need to avoid walking for a while & definitely running, instead just hit high volume stepups for a while.. dno yet.
- i've had this before but this time it might be worse, seems to be taking too long to disappear.
:pissed: :pissed: :pissed:

complete rest today.

tomorrow I might hit up the track again. hoping the complete rest would have helped a bit.

LBSS WAS RIGHT - hard to stay away:
- doing some light stretching to close out the night .. did a little so far, but going to do more .. using it to help me try and get to sleep earlier too, stretching light in teh dark nice and relaxed.
- feels so good when you "need it". :/

just inspired me to look up WR for 20km (12.4mi) race walk. it's 1:16. that is insane. like a 6:08 min/mi pace. :uhcomeon:

ya dude, that stuff is crazy .. they use that wormy looking speed walking form, i've never even tried it and don't intend to.. i've heard those dudes have lots of hip problems - but that could be b.s.

i have no idea how i'll even hit 5 mph which is like barely under sub 12 I think .. sub 10 min/mi sounds impossible. lmao.

What I am *really curious* about, would be how fast those people can walk using a "normal form". Or maybe I don't know enough about how speed walking works, but i'd suspect there's a pace that you can hit before rotating your hips all "weird". Here's a decent video I just found:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1sxFgTUbWo

I mean would they hit ~8 min/mi without the hip rotation? if so that's still absolutely flying. The straight leg doesn't look weird to me, there's just some unnatural looking hip movements going on which seems deliberate - not a result of one foot in front of the other, or a locked leg. I'd love to see how fast one of these elite speed walkers could go by using a "normal walking gait". I imagine it would still be very fast.

Also: Kipchoge basically ran 26.2 miles in the time I walked 9.1 miles last night... :D :ibrunning:

peace!

It was interesting to see this in the diamond league in birmingham, your last sentence reminded me of this.

Glad to see bosworth happy, I felt sorry for his walking race when he was disqualified he was really upset.

LMFAO!! they didn't show that on the broadcast I saw .. that's funny stuff. I disagree with one thing though, they keep saying "this is what athletics needs, different ideas" etc.. No. No. No. :D

Your HR @ 4 mph + 5% incline definitely improved over time, curious to see how it adapts to 7.5%. seems like a tough walk.

those are some fun-looking workouts.

separate building for home gym = dream.

ikr wtf?

Went 8 rounds plus JR, :ibrunning: , 2 squats

The weight vest doesn't have a massive impact on my performance.

Also the apprenticeship thing, I am slowly building up equipment for a home gym and if I get the job then I will be getting a 20k loan to build one after my 6 month mark.

I priced it out so far

A lot of weights, 2 bars, yoke, log, package includes rower and all crossfit type stuff is 5700, throw in a belt squat and it's around 8k then 12k for a building.

Took a nap and now going back out for workout #3 I think.

Idk insert fancy name
Death by 7s

7 minutes of burpees
7 minutes of wallballs
......................snatch
......jumping jax
.......jump rope

Kept the easy shit at the end to cool down

Not sure about wallballs, might do kb thrusters

wtf?

that's pretty sick. The yoke is especially bad ass. Belt squat too, damn. You're going to have like, random strongman/crossfit competitors showing up to your "facility" to train.. may need some kind of under-the-table membership fee :ninja:

:o
