but dude, u look like u can go way up, lookin from ur vids,
how tall are u? can u get rim?

just got 120kg for 2reps, the 3rd rep almost killed me, was almost a good morning at the end. tried it after 2 sets of 110...
thank heavens i didnt injure myself.

adarq, how does one do single leg depth jumps?
i tried it yesterday. is it like drop off, land on 1 foot, the other leg nv touching the ground, and just swinging and then jumping?

also, i used to do single leg squats, but im doing walking lunges now, cos i think i heard u mentionin that its better, in that it gets one to put force into the ground? mind tellin me abit abt the proper form? sorry abt the form questions, just think that its impt i dun screw up the exercise.

i was around 1.77 i guess, i can touch most of the rim but cannot hang on it.

and i tried to find the vid of this particular thing u were doing. one legged, jumps onto a short platform, just goin back and forth between the ground and the platform. wat is the target muscle for this? is the leg supposed to be stiff as well?

many many thanks!

hello all!

always thought i was 5'11 till jackW kindly pointed out that im only 5'9 :(
LOL
anyways, its abt 174cm, 65kg.

been workin real hard, in hopes of finally being able to dunk. not working yet at the moment tho.
so if anyone can give me some pointers, i'd suppose here is the place to look?
haha, got myself clowned on tmuscle, so thought perhaps i'd try other avenues.

long story short, was able to get rim before i started on free weights. ie, wrong stuff like the leg press, machine leg extension, hack squats...
realised my folly, hit the gym hard, got my squat to 100kg, now its 115 for 2X3. thought i'd be able to fly, or at least get my hand over the rim, only to realise nothing much changed. still pretty much the same running 1 foot vert (in fact, slightly lower last time out), tho im better of 2 feet now.

pointers anyone? hahaha, i read thru most of what u posted adarq, but its all abit too deep for me.

174cm, 65kg. squat 115kg.. wow..

75KG 5rep will stress me hell lot !

how i wish i got your strength. i was 178, 68kg. i don't think i able to reach 100KG 1rm. maybe some day should try my 1rm.

thank for the reply adarqui and vag. yes i believe shoe could give me extra, wooden floor don't think i have chance to test.
adarqui, drop step vertical = 2 leg jump? drop a first step and jump with 2 leg is that what u mean?

i cheat in the video haha, vertical jump should be standing still and jump, not the extra forces with movement.

went to gym just now posting my training routine soon. <-- hope u guy can give me ideal and way of improve haha thank a lot.

ok a short introduce of myself.
been training with weight for the pass two-three month (no pylo) at all. have gain about 2 inches,i don't really measure. from unable to touch rim to easily grap it with finger(running).

Novices weight program from VJB is the program i did for weight, could say improve quite a lot in term of quickness and jump with no pylo done at all.<== i did play basketball.
i stop novices weight in week 9, due to lack of time and basketball.

starting back my training soon, have been doing weight for the pass few month,so i think its time to add pylo in my training routine. i will be doing 2 weight and 1 pylo per week.
the least will be 1 weight and 1 pylo per weight.(depend on my working and basketball day)

Aim is to grap it with two hand(palm)

some vertical jump test i did, did i reach 30 inches? any ideal?
