nice!

not much.. i've calmed down my coding projects. Instead, i'm just studying a variety of languages. Less do, more learn, pretty much. Haskell is my preferred functional language ;-) It's my preferred language in general now but this 'step back' is slowing down my personal projects.. this is good though.. I was just coding like a chicken with my head cut off (if that makes any sense). Work takes up alot of times, so when I finally get to code personal stuff, I keep finding that i'm rushing it.. sooo.. had to cut that out. Now I have no projects other than learning ~30 programming languages lmfao. Here's all of the langues i'm going to be messing with for quite some time:

https://github.com/adarqui/polybooks/blob/master/cookbooks/polyglot_programming/recipes/default.rb

sounds nutty I know.. but there's a method to the madness.. ;f

you developing for android in Java? How's the code life going?

pc man!@$@$

Those are a lot of languages :)).
Coding in Java for Android is going well, I've really evolved a lot and learned a lot of cool tricks.
I wanna learn some new languages too, but first I gotta know these ones very well.

Hah, I saw the MySql thread.
Random fact:  I'm currently working on a library for Android to facilitate working with SQLite.

How have you been Adarq? What u up to?

What are you using functional programming (Erlang) for?

how you liking it? sounds fun.. so i take it everything you guys do is 'native', no intermediate frameworks to bridge both api's together etc.. something like phonegap/carona perhaps.

nah i prolly won't workout unless i can get ax$ to a boxing gym... i really don't want to lift.. i finally had it, just too boring.. i might start running in a month or so.. just getting back to 'somewhat long walks' lately.. loving it because i can listen to some good lectures and learn alot.

Yeah, it's great. Everything is native, and it's great, you cand make the apps very efficient this way, less memory consuming, make em compatible with a lot of devices, and so on. Still learning a lot, but it's fun work. Also cause of work, I switched to Linux and knew a bit from day 1 cause of your UNIX server you had set up, so thanks a lot, in a way, you helped me with getting this job  :headbang:

You should do some workouts, boxing, running whatever suits you now, for me programming and training seem to mix around great :))

Happy NEW YEAR Adarq, thanks for keeping this site up, and for all the inspiration you gave me this past years.
What's good ? What projects are you doing for work now?
I'm working as a dev for a mobile application company and i'm doing Android (Java) apps and IOS (Objective C) apps, and it's pretty nice.
You gonna work out this year too? :)
Cheers mate  :lololol:

cool! how often are you coding? yes this will be a nice little lab environment, im sure it'll be of some help.. i'll put tons of tools/development frameworks on it/the vm's.. it'll be solid..

peace!!

I am currently doing a masters in engineering and chose object oriented design & c++ as one of my modules so i have an assignment to code a logo/turtle program.
so probably will be doing some coding.

hah nice!

i should be getting the box friday, hopefully :D EEK, 11/27

just checked the UPS email they sent... i guess because of thanksgiving in USA and the weekend, i won't be getting it until tuesday.. FUQ!

bought some refurbished dell to finally try and setup that adarq.org shell/fun server...

once i get it setup, everyone who has an account on here will be able to ssh into the fun-server and have fun with it etc.. i'll probably have a local chat with tons of bots for fun, a bunch of VM's, and some other stuff..

i need to buy another computer in a few weeks, to build a custom router.. i cant use a normal wifi router for this project, because i need to have full control of the box/nat/firewall rules etc.. plan on doing some cool stuff.

havn't worked out in what, 2-3 full days? been wrecked..

lab.adarq.org coming soon@$!@... the main goal will just be to allow people on this site to have free shell's for coding/internal chat/experimenting with stuff etc.. ie, with the vm's, ill be able to give people root on them.. because i can easily replace them just by cp'n an original image over.. so people will be able to get free shell + free root shells on a vm lab environment etc.. should be fun.

it'd be fun to get even more nerds who r into strength/conditioning on this forum.. i know there are plenty :F

bout to do a nice early morning workout though i think... i slept rom 10-3am so i should be well rested for it.

peace

So once this gets done, when we access it, wil it be a unix operating system also will it be console only or will we be able to access the linux interface and access terminal software from there
could help me with c++ code testing.

ya it'll be running debian linux.. from there, people will be able to access freebsd/openbsd/netbsd/ubuntu/centos and possibly my solaris box..

ya it'll be a linux shell.. available through ssh OR through some web interface ive been coding/messing with..

you can always do graphical X stuff by X-forwarding with SSH etc.. so i'll have those binaries available on the box.

cool! how often are you coding? yes this will be a nice little lab environment, im sure it'll be of some help.. i'll put tons of tools/development frameworks on it/the vm's.. it'll be solid..

i think one of the coolest things will be having the ability to have your own vm's.. for example, say you want your own debian VM, you could copy over a template VM and then run that vm, ssh into it, and customize it etc..

this is all in the plans.. once i get the box, i will start setting tons of stuff up :D

peace!!

Hey, I want to do 5x8 lunges and 3x5 deadlifts 4x a week. Can I get away with this much frequency considering how light the weights I'm using are?

if you're in good shape yes..  if you havn't been performing those exercises consistently 3x/week, then i'd start with 3x/week.. if you have been performing them 3x/week, sure go for 4x/week.. if you're going too heavy, your body will let you know.

Wow , i can't wait. IT'S GONNA BE BIG!!!! :lololol:

hope so! eventually i want it to be pretty useful to people. you doing any tech stuff lately?

peace vlad.

i'm doing a bioprocess control simulation application in Java for my dissertation, and i need to do a web service in jee that links that java app to an android app so i can get the data from it in my phone and watch the simulation while in the lab.

It looks a bit better now, but still, if you can make the background, sides and upper a darker gray. Def improved though. Keep it up.
