MOVIES & ENTERTAINMENT & SHeeT! / Game Of Thrones
« on: June 09, 2013, 07:10:19 pm »

Game Of Thrones, or GoT for short, is like adult Harry Potter without magic and wizards. It's a story about medieval era battle for the kingdom. There is a small small portion of magic/dragons but so minimal that it's basically reality. If you think it's kids stuff, think again. Very violent and many many characters get killed.

It's a very amazing story that is exactly like the books at most times. The books have been in the making for 16 years and still a work in progress.

Honestly this is something you have to try and you'll probably like it. It's an amazing story but difficult to describe. Best for people who enjoy long stories, action/violence, and strategy
.
Pros:
Story is amazing
Acting, outstanding
Scenery is fantastic
Hot girls
lost of action.

Cons:
only offered on HBO
Very long time to watch(29 episodes are out with each lasting roughly an hour!!)
You'll probably get pissed at remembering so many characters, but they'll eventually die :)

MOVIES & ENTERTAINMENT & SHeeT! / The Internship
« on: June 09, 2013, 06:54:10 pm »

So I just recently watched this in theatres. I know what you're thinking. How funny can another Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson movie can be? Well, this one strikes home for me personally as a huge tech nerd and Google fanboy. It was something I thought was going to be a completely crappy movie, but ended up being comedic gold. Mid-way through I started laughing at every joke and my friends thought the same.

The plot goes that two old guys are salesmen and know nothing about computers/tech. Don't want to give away a bunch, but they end up in an internship at Google headquarters.  There they fight for the internship by competing versus other interns at challenges. It's hilarious the way they think about tech and you end up loving them for being oblivious of it.

Many jokes, most were funny. Maybe not worth seeing in theatres but worth watching. Good for tech lovers and college age kids.

Ok, I want to go see this movie, but I don't want to get tricked into seeing it just because the first one was good. I saw the last two, and the trend is to keep getting worse. I am going to wait till somebody tells me that it is really good before I see it.

oh, and here is the soundtrack by lonely Island lol..I found it funny

Injury, Prehab, & Rehab talk for the brittlebros / Elbow
« on: May 21, 2011, 01:23:14 am »
I hit the ground and caught myself with my right arm. It was bent and the elbow hurt. After going to Emergency Room, they told me it was effused and should be ok after 2 weeks. I have little ROM but I am believing that it's increasing slowly. That was about 2weeks and 1/2 ago.

Trainer told me to go to a specialist. Said that it probably was dislocated and came back in quickly. I'll have to rehab it back once I can get ROM back.

Anybody know anything about this type of injury? What should be my rehab approach?

thanks

Nutrition & Supplementation / Outline to be 185lbs
« on: March 13, 2011, 02:39:59 pm »
I Know there is a specific amount of fats, proteins, calories, carbohydrates..ect one is supposed to eat.

Something like, for every lb= 2grams or protein a day. So you could lower protein intake, or raise it depending on goals

I was wondering if anybody knew the exact amount of calories, proteins, fats, I should take to gain weight to 185lbs and maintain it?

Football / Why there is more to football than speed and strength
« on: March 06, 2011, 10:31:46 pm »
Football is a skill, and must be practiced...the same as bball, If you are just athletic that may not be enough sometimes

take a look at dwain chambers, probably 4.3 in 40 since his 60m dash is 6.42 100m-9.97 and 200m 20.3
overall he is athletic but totally sucks at football...

Oh, and don't use water for the ish..Idk why i was dumb enough to do water with the ish, but it was terrible and lowers protein from milk  :uhhhfacepalm:

ADARQ & LanceSTS - Q&A / Eplosive Lifting Question
« on: February 26, 2011, 03:03:31 pm »
A few questions, trying not to make a ton of Q&A threads by asking more than one

1)

I have often been told that I am too controled when I lift. This is coming from people who bounce the weight hard off their chest when they bench.

But I was just curious, If I'm not moving the weight really fast can it still be explosive? I Push as hard as possible, but I maintain strict form and a controlled decent.

2) I am still having a few questions on my squat form. Should I focus on a hip drive? I used to focus just on going up, and when i switched to focusing on hip drive it made the weight alot easier to lift

the feet pushing out thing. I squat shoulder-width stance(since I figured it's more like jumping and sprinting) and my legs are long. I don't have my knee cave in alot, it's just a slight twitch in when i get slightly out of t 'the hole' of the squat on the way up.  But since i squat barefoot, long legs, and narrow-stance. It's really hard for to spread the ground, I could much rather focus on the cue 'show my croch'(lol) or push out from my groin(hard to explain this ish)

thanks for the help :)

so I had track practice thursday. Skipped Friday due to extreme sleep derpravity. My left quod was stiff specificly the deep middle.

got to track today, have not sprinted in 2months. About the second 30m sprint from the blocks, I started slight limp cuz of some stronger stiffness. Well i finished workout and both quods hurt, the other one slightly. My hammys hurt a little as well.

I was just wondering, should i lift? Is it cuz i was so out of shape from sprinting? can I lift today?

any more info i'll tell

the workout today was 45degrees and i only got a decent warmup in cuz of cold/sunlight left. I would consider my quods decently flexible, better than most normal people anyway. Stretched them alot, and even last night for a while.
