oh ok got it i had  assumed you were outside of US when I saw your posts in km then it threw me off when I saw the temp post.  I have been running really late at night or in the morning to avoid heat. here in southeast texas its usually in the 90's or sometimes 100s this time of year and the humidity is really hot.  I've always enjoyed running really late anyways though when nobody is out and about something is just really cool about it to me. Feels like the whole world is sleeping when you're runnng

last night

- run 6.01 km in 30:58

- stretch

it was 100 degrees out

just a curious question what makes you post your distances in metric kilometers but you posted the temp in Fahrenheit?(pretty sure it was not 100 degrees Celsius)

lol yes the air was steamy but not full of literal steam. i usually post in both when i post temps, just lazy this morning. i live outside the US now and so i have to use metric most of the time, but i'm american and fahrenheit will always be easier. plus "it's 100" sounds hotter than "it's 37.8."

for distance km>miles because that's what races and tracks are measured in, and base ten is easy to use

I scrolled back through your log from april to nov 2015 because those were the dates in between your 2 5ks where u hit 22:51 in april and 20:06 in nov my times in races are usually between those or my last one was a little bit slower than april one.  So i was trying to see what you did to improve in that time.  Most of what i could see were just consistent 3.5 or 7 mile runs. or an occasional 1.5 or 2 hour run.  and lots of tennis playing ;D

before the nov 2015 5k you mentioned that your pace in the 3.5 mile runs were sub20 pace so you were hoping to beat 20 mins. how did you know this if you werent timing? or did you have a timer/watch and just didnt post times?

put her first? do they have children together? Sounds like he barely knows her.

The way I feel about it(and I'm sure many people may disagree as I am not one to conform to conventions) is that if I have a goal or vision then the person I am  with or in this case not even with but just talking to  will support it and understand(if they are good for me.. if they dont understand then they arent for me).  I've witnessed firsthand all too many people drop their dreams and change their lives completely for women and in so many cases it has not worked out for the best.  I dont have an "attitude" toward women I treat everyone i meet with respect.  I just dont believe in putting someone I just met on a pedestal especially if I have other aspirations they could get in the way of especially if they are demanding.
I disagree there bitches just ruin your life mijo
dont put them on a pedestal
if cutting makes u happy then cut
just do u mijo!

if shes real she will understand.... if not then on to the next :headbang:

This is everything that is wrong with the world today. I know I sound old and I am but what the fuck? Really? All these bitches out there just ruining your life are they?

If she's "real" she will want a real man who can actually talk to her, who will give her the time of day, who will put her first . That doesn't make you weak.

*Southpaw- this is nothing personal against you as I don't know anything about you or your personal/relationship history. I find the attitude towards women in your comments abhorrent though.

one thing i like about it is you get a workout in and dont need any equipment or gym

I have a gym membership i should probably either utilize or cancel because i havent been going but a lot of times my social anxiety prevents me from going there to lift weights but instead i can just walk out the door of my house and take off running and not have to interact with anyone.  You also dont need to spend a lot of money on fancy equipment you just need your legs....(even shoes are optional)

Dude talk to the girl. Eat carbs if you need to. Get some pre-workout into you if required. There are more important things in life than cutting fat and a "gorgeous, smart, funny and seems into me as well" girl is one of those things.

I think she's losing interest. I feel ... im not sure about it all. I think i need someone less maintenance right now but i dont know, my mind is not all here right now so i cant figure out if ive made a mistake or if it's salvageable. She seems to get upset if i dont text her often (i wont call her at all which she's not thrilled about) but i have nothing to say (mind is blank) and she's taking it to mean im not that into her (but i am). Will try to talk to her on sunday if she's still up for it

she seems too demanding.. to each their own but i dont need that in my life i wouldnt wish that on anyone.  focus on your training....

and u dont "need" someone less maintenance right now. you dont "need" anyone mijo.  just focus on you.  if someone less maintenance comes along thats cool too... if not..rock on :headbang:

I dont have an elaborate list or plan like you folks but I just found this thread and would like to add that I plan on doing the Lunar Rendezvous (dubbed the Space Force run on IRC) https://runningalliancesport.org/lunar-rendezvous/

will be running in more shortly after so will update with schedule and results!

- run 4.72 km in 24:30

- stretch

struggle bus part the second. i slept through the night last night (woot) but i think my body is just tired. legs did not want to work. also forgot to mention last night that i left my running shoes at work so i had to use my old, very beat-up ones. makes a difference. i don't know how adarq runs so much in crushed shoes. well, i guess the grass switch probably helps but he was proudly running shoes to the soles before that iirc.

The majority of my runs are barefoot.  I recommend reading this if you have time https://www.amazon.com/Born-Run-Hidden-Superathletes-Greatest/dp/0307279189

i for one am not shocked that your body was like "DELOAD" after consecutive first-ever 100+ mile weeks.

true but, had more to do with the "triple" that day (race, light long run, light trot) & the pre-3rd-run-stretching I think than the mileage. feel fine from high mileage.

stretching my ankles/calves by squatting into it & holding it, seemed to pre-fatigue my quads. then I did that third light run and left VMO cramped. If I go back into that same stretch, hits the spot exactly. The annoying thing is, I remember thinking I shouldn't be doing that stretch pre-run, but it felt good like stretching always does, then it probably contributed to me being wrecked like it sometimes does.

I'm surprised heh.

how many miles were u running per week prior to 100 mile weeks??

all over the place:

04/30/2018: 86.0 *
05/07/2018: 54.5 *
05/14/2018: 53.1 *
05/21/2018: 39.8 *
05/28/2018: 100.1 :personal-record: *
06/04/2018: 102.5 :personal-record: *
06/11/2018: 100.4 in 6 days :personal-record: *

^ Need to finish going back through every week on strava and listing it out in my tracker.

i've done 80-90+ before for like 3-4 weeks, last fall.

so clearly you dont think its necessary to slowly and gradually progress mileage like i read on other running websites?
