1st Set of 345x3
10th Set of 345x3

From today's workout. The angle makes it look like I'm not going as low as I used to, but I still am!
If you look at the white line on my shorts, it hits just below parallel. In this video, it looks like I'm going lower, but the line on the shorts goes to just below parallel as well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jplDf8iYtWA. Same depth.

I trust this article a bit more than the others because there's no product placement in it. Read up, sounds interesting and plausible.

The first set of 10x3 from smolov jr. 335 was my max before i started. I also recorded the last set, but the memory on the camera ran out and cut off the second two reps so I'm not uploading that.

I'll be sure to try recording a 335x5 and a 375 1RM later this week and early next week.

Man I'd give anything for it to be 1997 right now and watch trance rise in popularity from the underground scene... WITH UNDERGROUND TRANCE, not popular mainstream trance!

I've posted that video before. Anyway, that's what some people would consider a true atg squat.

HOWEVER, I can go like 2-3 inches lower than that. It's weird, after a certain point in my squat, I reach this threshhold where as soon as I pass a certain depth (which is the depth in that video), the squat LITERALLY gets twice as hard. And I mean I am ACTUALLY sitting on my calves and the hamstrings are compressing against my calves! Plus, I seem to lose a lot of balance and I realllllly have to grind the rep out if I reach this depth.

Is this the depth that olympic lifters squat to??? Or is it enough to just touch the calves and hamstrings for a lil bounce and go back up?

I call these rock bottoms squats just to distinguish the two. Does anyone else experience what I wrote up there?
The thing is, when I did rock bottom squats today, I did 295 x 5 4 2 (and failed the 3rd rep on the last set).
It was the first time I've ever failed a rep in squats in my life. A few weeks ago, I did 325x3x5 with the depth in that video up there.

The thing is this squatting has really killed my confidence a lot. I've dropped 30lbs in the work sets just doing it and it's just a 2-3 inch difference!!!

about 3 weeks ago I've squatted 325lbs for 3x5 ATG. I didn't get it on camera, but I did get a set of 320lbs on camera. I weghed about 190lbs in this vid:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVP0HG6GvDo
Since then I've stalled at around 315x5 for some reason. Dropped and can't go back up. I've done a 2 week deload, now monday marks my first day out of the slump. Going to go for 295x3x5 and work from there.

Sometime back before the summer I was squatting 360lbs max to parallel but i weighed 170-175lbs... I was doing this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SY8TZP747nI (2-hand tomahawk in this one)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbMcCUb3V_M (head to net in this one)

I was 6'0 tall in those dunk videos, now I'm 6'1 tall. So, like 5-6 months after those videos I've made ZERO improvements in my SVJ and RVJ and it pisses me off. I need to get my movement efficiency back and start doing some heavy plyos, but first, I want to squat around 405lbs max. This may take a while, but that's okay because vert training is a long term thing.

I'm lakers from the vertical summit. I need an active forume, and Dreyth is my username on pretty much all other forums so I'll stick to it. I'll also change it on the vertical summit.

Is there anyway to quickly transfer my log over from there? I've got almost 50 weeks on it.
