Man i'm looking at your diet since the start of the month and i'm like  :uhhhfacepalm:
You seriously need to work in some vegetables or fruits somewhere in the dude - especially when you're cutting as hard as you are...your body can't be functioning optimally on that. It really ain't gonna do you any good in the long term!

ADARQ & LanceSTS - Q&A / Re: Jump analysis
« on: January 16, 2011, 08:01:09 am »
I'm willing to bet expensive things you will get higher if you kick the legs like Adarqui is doing. That is, pulling the heels to the butt after your triple extension. You're not doing that right now and I'm not doing it either, yet when I do it the body has a totally different dynamics. You can argue it doesn't matter what you do in mid air but to me at least - it does. Maybe it's a matter of body perception/proprioceptivity, stretching, tightness, I don't know and don't give a shit. Just do that.

hahahaha....For what it's worth I do that sometimes...I think it may be a case of being more flexible may cause your legs to pop up unconsciously, where as if your tight they won't do that. As for whether it will help you by doing it, I don't think so. Being flexible in the right amount and in the right places would help I guess.

Thanks for the feedback. As of now, i'm continuing with my plan for January to get my bodyweight back to 155lbs and to get my squat back to, or hopefully above, where it was at Christmas. I'll see how i'm doing at the end of January anyway and reassess then.

ADARQ & LanceSTS - Q&A / Jump analysis

Any possibility either of you guys could have a look at my plant/jump and let me know what you think of my form. What should I be focusing on in my training:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqugpAbyKi4" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqugpAbyKi4</a>

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUJc9rCTKW4" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUJc9rCTKW4</a>

I jump at least 10-20% higher off two feet than I do on one if that's worth anything in figuring stuff out.

It could still be just a swollen lymph node. It's nothing serious to worry about until you start showing other symptoms anyway.
I'd say give it a week and it should be better. If it's really bothering you though go to the doc...nothing worse then stressing over being unwell.

It's a swollen lymph node dude...you've probably got some kind of infection that your body is fighting off. You won't always show other symptoms along side it...shouldn't be anything to worry about but if you're feeling sick/rundown that's what it is...

Wow...a tbue of protein powder... :-\ really?!?

Anyway , just made these today...

Super Protein Burger

Ingredients

Makes 2

100g of lean mince.
1 egg
2 tablespoons oats
1 table spoon herbs (thyme, basil, oregano, marjoram..whatever)
pinch of salt and pepper
2 tablespoons unflavoured Milk Protein/Casein (I get mine from myprotein.co.uk it's got a real powdery consistency and it's great for adding to baked/cooked stuff)

1. Mash all that shit up.
2. Flatten it out to a burger shape...throw it on a grill or pan and cook it.
3. Serve however you like.

Guestimation of macros ~ 150kcal per burger ~20g protein, ~5g fat, ~5g carbs

Tastes just as good as a real burger and much healthier...I have these in a breakfast muffin with some eggs and ketchup, maybe a lil bacon with the fat trimmed off but ya can eat 'em however ya like.

That slow mo dunk was nice man..really nice extension on it...you were actually descending when you attempted the dunk which looked pretty dope...You're an inspiration man..you train hard and you get good results.

I slacked a whole lot this week with my eating...gonna clean it up for the last few days before Christmas and just maintain over Christmas...Once i'm back in the New Year after this short recovery break i'm gonna be ready to kill it. I wanna catch up to where you are by the end of the year.
