i have "people i know" irl, cept for a few people who are legit friends.. if i knew people who were dedicated to training, we'd train, but i don't.. i don't know anyone around here who is into dunking/training for performance improvement like me, so i can't contact anybody to meet up and dunk with etc.. i've given this site & my email to probably 100+ people at this point, and i've yet to get one email or someone contact me on the site, who i've met irl..

people aren't serious.. most people i give the site to give me this lame story about wanting to "play college ball" or "make nba" or "dunk" etc.. bunch of phonies unfortunately... i'll see them months later, or say once a month, and they are still weak & have made no improvements.. i can't deal with people like that irl, they ruin my training/mentality.. i need to be around people who are 100%, no bullshit.. i can be friends with whoever, but when it comes to training/dunking, can't deal with people who aren't driven/focused.

I wish I lived in florida, I'd be all over that offer. We could start "anorexia girl nation".

ADARQ & LanceSTS - Q&A / How to improve running vertical jump?
« on: May 01, 2011, 10:57:48 pm »

Why is it that I jump the same height running from far out and jumping as I do off a slow and short distance run up?  how can I improve that?

What does squat maintenance mean?

Would consider this jump from yesterday a  :personal-record: also. Never got hand over the rim while jumping with the ball in my hand:

STANDING VERTICAL JUMP :  :personal-record: with two hands. Right arm didn't quite make it but still a pr.( after three day of using my legs to the max, pretty sure I can get higher) :

You can watch the video in my journal, no shaking, it didn't feel as heavy as I would've thought. I don't think lifting the bar off the rack is the hard part I could've lift more, but walking it out would've been too much.

I tried unracking today and did 315lbs 2x and 405lbs 3x. The unracking part is the easy part. What am I really working, didn't walk it out or anything. Are you really gaining strength from this or is it for confidence?

Chad Johnson said he eats micky d's a lot,  when he was on the hbo series hard knocks, and lamar odom eats a lot of candy.

Well if I take me as an example, when I used to do unracks it was just my entire core "shaking" and feeling this "twisting" thing going on... like my spine was totally unstable and under the possibility of a little twist. You don't need me to tell you how dangerous that is. But if that's not the case for you, then...

That sounds extremely scary!!!!! :o

I use to do that with the rack I had before I got a squat cage, using 2x my body weight, but I'd go back up when I put it back on the rack, like doing a quarter squat. I got up to 255lbs 6x.

I know this may not be a lot to you guys but, I'm proud of myself. I got 2  :personal-record: on bench press:

80lbs 4x  :personal-record:
95lbs 1x  :personal-record:

Last time I benches I couldn't get 80lbs 1x
