Program Review / Re: Champion's Challenge
« on: February 06, 2011, 10:33:33 am »
I have to agree with you my dude. i didnt buy the program but i checked out some free 20 minute hypnosis thing.  I suffered from low self-esteem/confidence/swag for a period last year and after listening to it, I definitely played much better. I've haven't listened to it in awhile but it had such a profound effect on me, I dont even have to listen anymore. I always "get in the zone" when I play which feels amazing. I know exactly what your talking about.

Thanks for your reply! But is soy milk a good substitute for milk for a post work-out drink?

no. it makes you into a pussy

1. I gave your introductory block a thorough read, and by "SQUAT: 45 lb. BAR @ 4x5, work up to a same-weight per set 4x10", do you mean that I'll do 4 sets of 5 reps pure BAR squats, then what do I do next? Will I do another 4 sets of 10 reps of squats with more weight? I'm a little confused on the phrasing of "work up to a same-weight per set"

if your working set is 200x5, do 45 4x5, 100 1x3, 155 1x3, 185 1x3, then 4 sets of 200x10 etc.

2. I also perused through lanceSTS's efficient upper body routine http://www.adarq.org/forum/lancests-performance-blog/effective-and-time-effecient-upper-body-%28and-lower%29-training-for-athletes/, I liked how you can build up strength over a relatively short period of time and it made a lot of sense to me. I also liked the push/pull at the same time - Is there some way I can incorporate this into your introductory block routine maybe? I really liked the principle of rest-pause training & the 25 rep(Add weight if u can do more than 25) and 12 rep(Reduce weight if u can't do more than 12) I can actually see that there is a lot of push and pull on the upper days.

push/pull is already incorporated for upper body in intro block...

3. On the topic of basketball, it'd be best to play and do skill training on the OFF days? But in case I choose to shoot/dribble would it be best to do it before/after lifting?

Once these questions are cleared up, I'd love to make a template and run it through you so I can officially get to work starting this coming Monday.

Once again, thanks a bunch.

It doesn't really matter. If you are on a team, you can lift after an easy practice or a game. if your not on a team, you could do some short but intense dribble/shoot work on off days or before lifting. just wouldn't do it directly after lifting.

had 2 dreams last night but remembered only 1. i was at basketball practice and we were shooting around. i got a rebound and a our center (tom) said "hey can i see it?" i told him "no, I want to shoot" then he muttered something that made me mad and i punched so hard in the face that he fell down. the kid is a football player, 6'1 ~190. interestingly, i actually like the kid in real life. wtf

thanks man! how much does all that cost? Moreover, how much less effective would it be if i just took vinpocetine daily and before tests and cut out the rest of the supplements? And what is the purpose of the brain clear? Sorry for all the annoying questions!

had 2 dreams 2 night ago but forgot them. i think iv dreamed like 4 days in a row. today, i was at my house with like 4 or 5 of these adults that iv never even seen but somehow in my dream, I knew them very well. For some reason, we were having some awards ceremony within our house. One of the guys was a duschbag and was taking forever to get to the living room for the ceremony. We were all ready but him and he was sleeping! Anyway, I got really angry and walked out of the house to see a movie by myself. Strangely, the movie theater and a 5star restaurant were joined together and to get to the movies, you had to walk through the restaurant. As I was walking through, I saw a group of about 7 elite level cool kids. I'm actually good friends with 2 of the kids and 1 of the other kids is on my school basketball team. (We're friendly but definitely not friends) The other people were hot girls that I knew because of their popularity and fame but have never interacted with them before. Anyway, one of my friends invites me to sit down and join them for dinner to which I gladly accept. (Earlier in the year, in real life, this same kid invited me to sit at his cool kids table at lunch to which I strangely and regrettably declined.) Anyway, we are talking and eating really good food for about 10 minutes as my conversation and socialization skills in this dream are infinitely higher than I display in real life. Even the basketball player, who I'm not friends with, was being extremely nice. Then, the topic moved to football and, although this dream occurred on Saturday night, the setting of the dream was on sunday night. We all realized that the Jets game was on and we were missing it so we quickly got the check. (This is odd because I was the only jets fan at the dinner.) They were ready to go but somehow, I now had a hotel room in a hotel that was adjacent to the restaurant. I ran to the hotel room to pack my stuff and leave but there was just too many things to pack and it took forever! Unfortunately, I'm not sure if my newly acquired gang waited for me as the dream ends with me running down the hotel lobby back towards the restaurant. Now, I had become the duschbag that everybody waits for.

i think you have adverse reactions to it because, due to your clean diet, you are sensitive to garbage foods.
