i reset between each rep, and if you start out at 25% 1RM and progress slowly towards 35-40% 1RM, they should feel fine..

ya well they are a good exercise at recruiting FT MU's for sure, they enhance the explosive strength characteristics of the muscle/nervous system.

cya

yeah resetting sounds good though i still love rythmic....ever tries rythmic darqman?

i'd ditch jump squats because they are painful, boring, and nobody likes doing them. You dont pick up things as well when u dont enjoy/ dread them

I agree, they are very painful, when i add them in training i would always be pissed off if there the nest exercise (wrong attitude) They take so much energy out of you......but has anyone thought that becuase fast twitch fibres fatige alot quicker then other fibres, is this why jumpsquats are so fatiging (are jumpsquats good at developing FTMF?)

hey darqman, because ill only be doing my UB circuit 1/2 a week, do you think ill be able to add anathor chest exercise (inlcine db press/ pushups/ oxplosive pushups) and another shoulder exercise (lateral raises/ upright row)? without creating a back imbalance, i cold just add sets of 2/3/4 after my complexes as "finisher" exersices....

Hey darq, the last 2 days ive had to do alot of max effort jumps, i feel fine in my hams/glutes/quads, its just my calves/achilles are killing me, normally i dont get sore in this are. When you have bad/torn/fatigued achilles/calves would would you do to aid recover...walking? stretching? heat/ice?....

Well i had chronic ITBFS for 3 months. I had a permanent limp. All the messeaging and ultrasounds didnt do much at all. The more i stretched it the more mobility i got back and the pain reduced dramatically, now there is no pain at all. I did also foam roll it which did help but i am one from personal experience who believe the it band can be stretched. I also noticed static  stretching the hams/glutes/calves and mainly quads helped alot also......let me know how u go Raptor...hopefully you'll be back to all your unilateral glory in no time  ;)

Darq, what is your view on LDISO's, the WGF guys swear by them.....most efficient way to get strong etc. Like the iso lunge for minutes and such.

I've had ITB ffiction syndrome in my left knee for some time now. It happened during one jumping session where i felt a little pain on the outside of the left knee and with aboout 3 jumps it got real bad. I iced for a week but then i got sick of, the pain just kept getting worse and worse, my knee would sometimes lockup. The pain got that bad i saw a physio, they diagnosed it and know i stretch it ALOT and that supress's it really well. I still have a big lump there and ot on the other side now, but its laying dormant (knock on wood). I would say the best way to test for this would do the following stretch which strecthes the band from the hip for 10/20/30 seconds and if an immediate improvement is felt, ITB it is........(Raptor?)
