Basketball / Re: Paul Pierce gets knocked out by the referee

Wow, I didn't even notice that until I saw that Pierce just suddenly fell without any vanishing frames.

That really was some pretty nice editing.

It's been about 3 1/2 months for me and I don't know if icing will help, you should do those ankle strengthening exercises if you're doctor recommended any to you. Right now it's about to be there, I just can't squat with it or bound with it yet. For some reason it doesn't seem to be very flexible because when I squat, my left leg will go down on its heels and the right (injured) will stay on the balls of my feet if there's too much weight or I'm going really fast.

Those cramps will be there for a while still, just rest and I think it will be fine.

Bodybuilding / Re: Ridiculously Ripped "Dunker"

Looks like his vertical to me is more in the high 20's range, but that might be camera angle. The rim looks to be 9 ft to me lol

Yes, the angles are ridiculous and the camera-man sucks ass bigtime!
But at 0:28 the cam is steady , you can get a good idea of rim height and jumping ability there...

Well, I don't think there even was a cameraman. It looked like he just left it on the floor
Yeah I think I see it now, his vert's not actually that bad compared to me anyways..

This seems so complex, I don't think I'll really remember all that. The next time I go out and do some sprinting/plyos I might try this out.

54
I did this before, actually I'm in that phase where you're getting back to normal sleep again. Definitely was weird, I think my personality changed and I was really tired all the time. -It's hard to get back to normal when you've done this for like half a year. I loved those naps, felt really good, especially in class. My family hated me though and they always screamed like bitches lol.

Well, that's definitely gross and I'm pretty sure everyone knows that McDonald's meat/buns/everything is fake. I don't know.. I still would eat some McDonald's burgers if I'm like really hungry and I have like 3$ in my pocket or something.

Yeah, I saw both of them. Part 2 > Part 1 IMO.

Program Review / Re: The Vertical Jump Bible (VJB)
« on: September 04, 2010, 06:15:20 am »
Yeah, his workout is still effective. You can't change how human's will react to a workout and it appears that a lot of people found it effective, so.. yeah give it a shot lol. I might do one of the program's again just for fun.

They're all pretty amazing and that ginger kid's core was just beastly.
Good inspiration for bodyweight training for me since I don't have access to a weight room.

Introduce Yourself / Re: Finally registered lol
« on: September 03, 2010, 05:31:53 am »
Hmmm.. weight room. Well, I used to have access to one at least. ATM I don't really have any equipment since my gym membership sort of just expired since I never used it.

I don't think my ankle's ready for any weightlifting that involves squatting/deadlife, but I can do basicly everything else except for doing at lot of turning or weight-shifting on it without it hurting.

I am Royal, but usually I'm just called something different in like almost every forum I used to go too so.. I wanted to choose something that was one word.  Ok, so I think I've been lurking around here and just reading stuff here since this summer. I didn't feel like making an account, but I think I'm going to start trying to train. I think I've known about this forum since around last year I think, but I didn't really see anything to talk about. Let's see.. what can I say about myself?

I'm ~5"7, give or take and 14. I got into this so called "vert training stuff" last summer when I had a crazy ass goal of dunking on a 9'5 rim at least by 8th grade, but I think I got tired and stopped training. So after a year of being lazy and letting puberty just give me natural boosts without even do anything, I start to think of vertical training and I'm confused at what program/routine I should do. Then right after track season, I jumped off some ledge and landed badly on the my ankle and it basically just killed any plans I had. My doctor didn't say if it was a sprain or if I just rolled it.. either way I couldn't walk until like 2 weeks later and with painkillers. Still hasn't completely healed, but anyways.. yeah.

I think that's good enough for an introduction, right? Don't know how active I'll be on these forums with school and all, but I might pop in from time to time.
