i found a place to source high quality protein locally for reasonable price.  i have a dilemma and want some advice/opinions.  3 proteins i'm looking at:

1. pure whey isolate 90%
2. 80% protein, mix of whey isolate and water soluble protein (difference release rate?), + some kind of enzyme
3. 76% whey isolate protein, +zinc, +magnesium

maybe i'll get all 3 to try...  variety/diversity is good right?  or just get #1?

fresh coconut is hit or miss though.  sometimes you get super tasty ones, but often it's just meh...  good ones are awesome as hell though.

watching him squat is so weirdly satisfying...  the form and effortlessness is kind of addicting.  combined with some cool music and editing = i've been watching his training videos a lot lately.  ha ha.

I know everoyne complains about houston for various reasons but honestly I dont see what the fuss is about with Golden state either. Watched some of the series and i was sorely disappointed in both teams play. Curry is out but still, that's just one player. Def enjoyed the atlanta and celtic series so much more .. maybe more than any other series ive ever watched except for the historically great spurs dismantling miami a few years back.

curry makes a huge difference to how fun GSW is to watch.  without him GSW is still an excellent team with excellent team work.  but with him, it's completely up another level.  when Bulls did the 72 wins i didn't watch NBA closely and i certainly didn't understand the game as much as i have now.  for GSW to start the season 24-0 and it took the last game to finally eclipse 73-9 shows how amazing the Bulls team was and how difficult it is to break it.  however the reality is GSW legitly poised to better it next season as the team is just entering the prime with all key cogs booked and salary cap increase... etc.

what's the warriors about?  #1 offense and pretty much #1 or 2 defense to go with it.  top 2 shooters, best team work, great execution and coaching.  pretty much minimal weakness.  the team legitimately grew collectively and individually over the last few years and that is very rare.  of course i'm somewhat biased as i grew up in sf bay.  but i simply enjoy good bball.  i rooted for OKC in 2011-13 but with 2 super stars the team just never really grew much.  if GSW is anywhere else, i would root for another team similar to this.

Dennehy revealed the incredible amount of ground Healy had to make up:

It was about 70 metres, which, in a 400 metre race, is a ridiculous deficit to claw back. She was so far behind that as the camera shows the first bend on that last lap, you can't see her as the camera had already panned to the back straight where the leading UCD athlete had got to by the time Phil Healy went around that first bend.

They didn't get an official clocking on Phil Healy but we think it's in or around the 52 or 53 second range, from what her coach was saying. She is not even a 400 metre runner, and this was after she had run at 100 metres and 200 metres over the weekend, so it was an outstanding run from the Cork athlete.

some say it was about 53 (still pretty awesome though) but i didn't see anything official.  someone else said "it may not be world class times but it was world class heart and courage".  :)  pretty freaking awesome.

Macedonia looks beautify.  Thanks for sharing the pictures.  When you say it is cheap there, give us some references.  How much is rent?  Food and drinks?  My sister just got back from visiting Morocco and that place sounds dirt cheap.  For a party of 6 adults a one 3 years old kid they had some kind of street vender beef dish and it was less than $3 to feed them all.

Nutrition & Supplementation / Re: glycine
« on: March 27, 2016, 02:41:42 pm »
okay i've taken ~5 grams of glycine right before i sleep for 3 nights in a row now.  another 5 grams during the day.  i can't say i feel much more refreshed when i wake up.  however, i can tell you for sure i am dreaming a lot more and they are more vivid.  certainly that could mean deeper sleep than usual.  just about an hour ago i had a clear vivid dream that i was having an out of body experience.  like, i was able to instantly lay down and fall asleep right away.  but i would sit up and be "out of body" right away.  kind of hard to explain but it took lot of effort to "get up".  have you guys ever have the experience of trying to keep awake when you're super tired and falling asleep (or is already sleeping) and your eye lids feels like they weights a ton.  well that's the feeling when i was trying to get up except it's not just the eyes lids that felt heavy, but the entire body felt heavy until you "break from it".  it felt very real...  but as i try to turn around and look at my physical body i wasn't able to see my self clearly at all.  then i realized i was dreaming.  pretty neat experience.  i woke up not long after so i was able to recall it clearly.

as for glycine's other effects i'll have to observe more.

it looks and taste like sugar even down to water solubility.  first time i mix it with 2-3 oz of water but it wouldn't completely dissolve so now i just put i on my tongue and wash it down with water.

i'd have to disagree with couple of those articles that suggest stretching isn't helping much.  i do agree that for a lot of people stretching really isn't helping them.  but i think it is probably because they are not doing it long or well enough to be truly effective.  i've been doing bikram yoga on and off since 2005.  each full session is 90 minutes long and when i went daily for 30 days, there are huge improvements/benefits.  but do to it daily takes a massive amount of dedication.  factor in shower time, and drive to/from the studio, it can easily take up 2.5-3 hours a day.  a 90 minute session in hot heated rooms (usually 105f) is not only a great workout, you stretch the heck out of your body and the results is positive in many ways.  although initially taxing afterwards you feel relaxed, restored, and energized.  it is also very healing and enhances athleticism no matter what sports you do.  and put in enough time and effort, you can increase your flexibility.  granted it might be a very slow process for some but, never the less everyone can improve their flexibility.

i highly highly recommend fellow members to give it try.  dedicate yourself to it for at least 2 weeks and i promise you will feel significant positive impact in multiple ways.

This team were charging right at us and drawing contact most of the time and just calling fouls whenever they missed. One guy was leading with his shoulder the whole time and initiating contact. Being pick up outdoors you can't exactly take a charge so the only option is to give a bit of contact back otherwise you'll fall over. The only way to beat them was literally not to give them the ball and score 5 straight to rotate to the next team. I don't get frustrated over pick up because it's just a game, but these guys were terrible to play with and people who take it more competitive were losing their tempers.

man, where are you located?  sounds like these fools have no class no self respect for basketball sportsmanship.  i used to play pick up games in the ghetto parts of town in sfbay and if you play bullshit bully ball, creating hard contact and try to call foul they'd laugh at your dumbass and if you continue to do it, they'll do the same shit back to you twice as hard.  that's how you shutdown the idiots.  the players that creates contact and calls pussy fouls are absolutely the worse.  they are despicable trash.

ps, how tall are you?

pps, i also find DL easy compare to SQ.  right now 100kg SQ feels hard, and 120kg feels pretty darn easy.
