Word @hyperdunk1, straightup beast.
Wasn't he going to last year/this year? Remember him saying he would and that allstargame dunk was a preview or smth

Wth happened?

To go with Griffin and bron, I would've liked:
Mike Taylor  (think he's gone though, dude was insane)
Derrick Rose (swag)
Shannon Brown (rematch)
James White (obiously)
Russel Westbrook (why was rudy fernandez in again?)

Not sure bout Jennings cause of the injury.
Meh, I'll catch the highlights

Rudy was in because he had an entire freakin' foreign nation voting for him. And nobody knew Russell Westbrook yet. I voted for RW though.

could be 2 or 3, but extremely unlikely, b/c then it be called "top 5 guards"  and when i typed mvps, all star mvp/finals came to mind but then i brought those up separately anyway.  that doesn't really matter, yet you chose to write an entire paragraph to bring it up then you mentioned the top 10 thing which i just refuted.... i'm really not belittling your hero mike, i hate to see people have incorrect views on things and then vehemently defend their position.  im not disputing mike's accomplishments...

Wow dude, you didn't read anything I said did you? Other than the MVP(s) point, I just agreed with you on all your points and then stated some random facts about Kobe. I never said a thing about MJ in that post. MJ is nowhere close to my "hero" anyways. Can't really agree to having a self-absorbed, egotistical a-hole as a hero anyways. As great of a basketball player he was, MJ was no "role-model" by any means. That was further reiterated by his HOF speech.

David Robinson, now there's a basketball player that is hero-worthy. :)

p.s. You can be #2, or #3 on a 'Top 10' list. It is just what you choose to call it. He could be #1 on the Top 100 list, and it still be called a Top 100 list. Now, I'm sure MJ meant it as a slight to Kobe by saying Top 10 Guards All-Time, there's no doubt in my mind that he did. But, that doesn't make his statement invalid. Where did you refute it by the way? It's a true statement that Kobe is Top 10 Guards All Time...to refute means to prove it wrong...

Edit: Oh, and sorry for making you read another paragraph.

We're in agreement here.  My whole point was that here we have the greatest basketball player of all time, who has received the due respect that he deserves, still throwing out verbal subliminal jabs at another great player (Kobe) AND still making claims to flaunt himself (that he could score 100 today).  Classy people do not do this, they move on when their time is up and go on to greater things.

Agreed. Maybe if he'd focus on current events he might be able to run the NBA team he just bought somewhere else other than into the ground...

Program Review / Re: Air alert (knee alert?)

I tried it with a friend for a few weeks when I was younger (14 or so). Didn't have any problems with it personally. But I didn't see much of any improvement with it either. This was when I was playing ball all day every day so honestly, I was already in about as good a shape as I could've been at that age without proper weightlifting. I stopped because I didn't see the point of it at the time and that was that.

YOU TELL ME WHAT'S WRONG WITH THAT STATEMENT.  TO SAY THAT SOMEONE WHO HAS WON 5 CHAMPIONSHIPS, MVPS, SCORING CHAMPS, ALL STAR MVPS, FINALS MVPS IS JUST "TOP 10 GUARDS"?

I can tell you what's wrong with this statement. He only won 1 MVP. No S needed. It's not plural. Only 1. He's had multiple Finals MVPs, but since you gave that it's own category I can only assume you meant that he had also won multiple regular season MVPs, which he hasn't.

Otherwise, the rest of the statement is true.

And yes, he is just a "Top 10 Guard". That doesn't say where he is at on that list though, could be #2, #3, etc. I don't think he's a Top 10 All-Time player yet...but definitely Top 20, and working his way irrefutably into the Top 15. Just not sure he's Top 10 yet.

He's old, but he's still the most skilled player in the NBA today so he has a few more years to work on Top 10.

Short dude can get up.

But the thing I noticed in the first dunk is that #12 on the white team got up about as high as he did. That impressed me more than the dunk.

That's an awesome location for a court visually....but I bet that sucks literally. I'm guessing a bunch of windy days on those courts...plus who the heck wouldn't put a fence/net up? Probably some damn PETA protest saying birds would fly into them. Dumbasses.

Eh, not anything new. Donald Sterling is a poor excuse of a human being, let alone an NBA owner. He's a racist, sexist, self-absorbed asshole with a shitload of money. And that last part seems to make up for all the rest of it in the eyes of the NBA.

The Clippers are profitable. That's all they care about. Doesn't matter how many losing seasons they've had, they're in LA, free arena, amazing tv/sponsor deals = more $ earned than $ spent. Wish someone else could take over the Clips and make them a decent organization.

Woah woah woahhhh damnit. Chill out.

I think we can all agree on one thing...Jordan would've actually lost to Bird in all those McDonalds commercials if they were real. I mean, c'mon son. Jordan wasn't half the shooter Bird was....but Jordan was 10x the athlete Bird was. That's all.

Serge Ibaka is going to win it. Russell would've been cool too though. Why not both?

Blake is going to be good. Jennings is great if his foot heals well. And McGee did try to dunk from the free throw line in a game. That's not bad I suppose.

I'm looking forward to the dunk contest as always...but sadly, I'll probably be let down.

I got a pair of them from a friend who was gonna throw them away. I just use them as push up bars to get better ROM. Work great for that, if not better because it requires a bit of stabilization too. Kinda makes it a little bit like dumbbell press...but upside down if that makes sense.

Dang his change of direction is amazing! I know it's easy for shorter people and all that but it's nice to watch good change of direction. I had good change of direction when I was younger and ran track, but then I hit that dang growth spurt and quit running a lot. My change of direction is so bad now that I just have to pick 1 direction in the morning and stick with it all day and hope for the best.
