crack? u mean clicked or what? mine just click at lateral side everytime i bend or squat. most probably due to arthritis. anyway, u should go for a medical checkup or something if its bothering you.

Yeah, clicked.. I doubt it's arthritis.... I'm only fucking 16..

16? thats the same age my knee starts clicking. does it hurt now?
My stats compared to NBA 2011 rookie draft combine:

SVJ: slightly better than isaiah thomas.
RVJ: around derrick williams.
Weight: everyone is heavier than me.
Height : everyone is taller than me.
Squat PR: even jimmer can squat better than me.

The first 7-8 weeks of Air Alert is a great beginner program, especially for uncoordinated white kids.

See, you're making the creators of AA lose their black clientele. Oh wait, they didn't have money to begin with!

look up under the symptom subsection. as for me, i tested positive for all of the symptoms listed. i only experience pain at the outer side and back of the knee, never the inner. :(

i never tried AA before but when i was young i used to jump and do plyos with my left leg without proper base strength.  :uhhhfacepalm:

Hey Man, thanks for the link but I don't have most of the symptoms and my knee doesn't hurt now when I extend it, it's like it comes and it goes. HAha

listen,
I'm 5'11"-6'0"
160-165lbs 7'8" reach

air alert 4 worked for me when i did it 2 yrs ago.
i started at 15 inches, i then gained 9 inches after 4 weeks of air alert training and waiting 2 weeks off for recovery before testing results.  had to stop for reasons like college workload and time. i'm at 24 inch vert now off of two legs., i was also doing strength weight training at the time and that helped alot i think.

my quickness was elevated noticeably after i began playing at the college rec center in sum pickup games. so was my endurance in the game and energy level. being in south texas, we dont see alot of people with giant height's. its rare to see someone who is over 6'2-6'3. i had no probs with my knees. I'm 33 now turning 34 in late dec.

getting back at it now this July 2011, so i am gonna keep weight training too. still got the 24" vert so i've kept the inches i gained before. so i started airalert this morning all the way from week 1 low reps.
as of this july i'm back squatting 235 x8 and can leg press 280lbs maybe a bit more. i jog 1.5 miles every 3 days. i do sprints on saturday's. i workout on a 3-day weekly rotation. i take creatine, vitamins, protein supps, BCAA's,  try to eat a minimum of 3000 calories a day since i'm trying to gain muscle mass for the lady's. my body is naturally an ectomorph and resembles that of Adarq's except im handsome. :)

LBSS, there is no "so what?"

Adarq opened up this thread and asked for +/- feedback. i gave my feedback. i can only guess that what u ment, since u didnt clarify, is that u want to hear more about my experience?! i dunno what else to tell u man. i guess i can give sum safety advice.

----Safety----
if air alert or any other excercises cause pain or soreness in the knee area use
1. ice on the knees
2. Bengay type muscle rub

always stretch prior, between sets, and post workout.

a good idea for during workouts is to use knee sleeves/braces  and/or  jumper knee straps/bands which are designed to improve patellar tracking and elevation by applying mild pressure on the tendon below the kneecap. The tubular insert provides uniform pressure

GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!

Or just don't do it when the volume gets ridiculous so you don't have to use things that won't help at all. If you have jumper's knee none of that shit is gonna help.
I don't lift for girls, I lift for guys on the internet

Say NO to Maroko

And also NO to anyone who associates with him. No Taylor Allan. No Adam Scammenauger. No Kelly Baggett. No Elliot Hulse. No Jtrinsey. NO JUMP USA

Don't PM me asking me training questions. I'm here for the lulz. If you want help, post on the forums and get help from all the members, maybe even me.

You can upgrade to a Alex Maroko program as soon as you hit that point.

for the previous 2 posters before this post here:

yes i agree that for sum people who cant handle the load u shouldnt do it any further. I dont know who Moroko is or what his program is about, and i aint interested in another program right now, personally speaking. i'm 33 and i wont be going pro or semi pro or joining any competitions for dunking or and1 type teams ever, so im just trying to get to 32 inches to have sum fun at the park before my kids grow older and i wont have as much time to play ball anymore.

and personally speaking again i have never broken or fractures or torn or pulled anything in my bones or tendons.... as i mentioned earlier in my posts above. i dont use the jumper bands or knee braces or bengay, but there may be older gentlemen who require such articles of gear in their training efforts, which is why i brought it up. and i see many basketball players of all levels using the gear i listed, so i dont know what u ment about that it wont help u. is it mandatory to use the gear only if u have an ailment or injury, i like to think someone can use it as preventive maintanence.
i'll come back in 12 weeks to post my results.

@Adarqui --- hey man i left feedback on my experience on air alert  and the first 3-4 replies to my post have been very strange and weird for this being a feedback thread. its weird how u opened this thread, i post my experience, and then people seem to almost immediately go against my experiences, and imp articular my posts. i cant imagine myself saying "hey let me browse the air alert thread for someone to bash or taunt or put down, or offer non-constructive criticism too". its funny to me because before i posted noone was talking, then i post and they talk, what i took as disrespect. are they really just sitting there waiting for someone to post so they can comment? weird.....

well thanks for posting your experience with air alert, but their point is this:

your vert was _______________15 inches_________________.. you could have done plenty of different programs or simply jumping alot + getting in great shape to gain inches.. adding 9 inches to a 15 inch vert, and maintaining those inches over the years, doesn't imply that the program "is effective".. any running vert of sub-30 can pretty much be improved by getting in shape and jumping.. getting to 40+ requires intensive resistance training.. most people who claim gains with air alert, are claiming improvements from "horrible" starting points or at a very young age where natural maturation occurs... if you had said you went from 32" RVJ to 41" RVJ using air alert, and posted vids etc, then people would be surprised but very interested.

"getting back at it now this July 2011, so i am gonna keep weight training too. still got the 24" vert so i've kept the inches i gained before. so i started airalert this morning all the way from week 1 low reps. "

having not trained "properly", then just getting back into it, and maintaining "the gains by air alert", just indicates pure maturation etc.. if air alert added 9, and REALLY ADDED 9, you'd go back to near 15 by detraining (not using air alert).

thanks for schooling me, i sincerely appreciate it. i had no clue it was a beginner's improvement which i had experienced. since im just starting up again i'm gonna make sure my weight training includes more focused routines like explosive squats and what not. if i had the cash for another recommended jump program i'd use it. all i got is air alert and weightlifting for now.
by the way, i've seen ALL your youtube vids, very inspiring. thnx

Why do people keep on wasting MONEY on programs when really, there's nothing that complicated. Heck, you could go with the Jack M split here on this site and be happy with your future dunks.
