wendler knows his shit, i did a program similar to this but i adjusted it to fit my own needs, it worked out pretty damn well...he also has another program out there for size since he was talking to a doctor and the doctor told him that hypertrophy is greatest when the muscle is under tension for 35-45 seconds...so he solely based his program on time...but the main thing is to keep the reps to about 12 or whatever you want and go heavier just keep it within that time frame
