Starting 2019 heights (from four days ago):

SVJ: ~30
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTbEcMwrtl0" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTbEcMwrtl0</a>

DSVJ: ~31''
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZ1iV9d2arw" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZ1iV9d2arw</a>

This is a target of ~255cm, or 75cm/~30'' if I hit it. I'm scraping it with SVJ and clearing it by probably only an inch with DSVJ.

Man. took some time for me to find it. Journals thread was the last place I expected to find this.

I measured my SVJ after finishing my speed session, which was at 24 inches.
Warm up drills
   - a walk, b skip quick powerful switch (heel to hams focus), a runs, dribbles small to big to run, straight leg to runs (force, reflex, go up/forward). force to hit the ground before it hits the ground knee/hip is at 90 degrees.
   - acceleration: low heel recovery, shin angle low, drive legs back before hitting the ground and drive thighs/knee forward not up
-------------------------------------------------------------
Measuring reminder:
5 toe to heel steps = 148cm
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Strength comes from the legs, Power comes from the torso and Speed comes from the arm. Al Vermeil
Arm also aids the legs in driving it down with power - seifullaah73

IDK how I missed this but duh, I'm in! Anything to track and hold yourself accountable is great IMO!

I'll get some baselines this week even tho it's March 😞

Nice and nice.

I haven't tested mine in the last month but am getting a new adjustable ring for home so will be able to test it anytime I want.

Alright, in the middle of warmups for leg day and decided to test the SVJ. We have some of the Olympic ring things (? Lol) in the studio room in adjustable straps. So I measured them out and just kept moving them up. They're in the corner so nervous about using them for RVJ but... one jump at 35", two at 34ish and the first one at 32+/- a tad. Attempts went 32, 34, 35, 36(f), 34 barely.

Will figure out a halfway decent way to test all the RVJ variations as I lift tonight I hope.

Latest jump vid on insta around 34-36". I wasn't expecting to jump quite so high otherwise I  would have prepped the session better (had the phone by the sideline .. far for a clear video). Not bad for my 2nd jump session of the season .. can't wait to lose some of this deadweight and switch over to the peaking phase of training.

Also found out that if i jump without the ball i can get a nice athletic looking approach to the rim from the left side of the rim. Which is interesting because i do most of my jumping on the R side which is my least athletic side because im very slow approaching from the right of the rim. I am left handed by the way. Left of the rim im much faster but with the caveat that i can't jump well or so i thought, except it seems that only applies with the ball. Im a goofy jumper by the way which is why all of this is the wrong way around.

damn you have to tell us how you increased your vert from 12" to 34-36" in a few days. :ninja:

SVJ now a solid 36"! Eagerly awaiting a rested dunk session for a RVJ test although my movement efficiency is probably down lol
