Just edited the first post and will keep the running tally there. When you do test your vert just state what kind of jump it was and I'll update the post.

I'm keen, I just completely fell off the rails leading up to Christmas/NYs. Need a bit of competition to get me going again!

I have decided to monitor my vert progress while doing sprint workouts, which currently my standing vertical jump is at 23 inches.
Warm up drills
   - a walk, b skip quick powerful switch (heel to hams focus), a runs, dribbles small to big to run, straight leg to runs (force, reflex, go up/forward). force to hit the ground before it hits the ground knee/hip is at 90 degrees.
   - acceleration: low heel recovery, shin angle low, drive legs back before hitting the ground and drive thighs/knee forward not up
-------------------------------------------------------------
Measuring reminder:
5 toe to heel steps = 148cm
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Strength comes from the legs, Power comes from the torso and Speed comes from the arm. Al Vermeil
Arm also aids the legs in driving it down with power - seifullaah73

I tested standing vert tonight. Fingers about 2" over a 10ft rim which gives me a 22-23" SVJ. SLRVJ was a bit better and I was getting mid wrist touch on the rim (with ball) so closer to 30" on that side.

Good job for actually testing. I'm not game to test in case it's too depressing. Ha

Haha I was there so I had to. 22" is pretty depressing though but it's always been that depressing for me.

I am feeling much better of my bad SVJ's measurement, but it's not really that bad then I guess. But I can't reach the rim at 23 inches as I am not tall. But a good start where everyone is almost at about the same.

OP updated as it's the 1st of Feb here. I'm going to test properly next week to get a full baseline.

Might be worth some others doing the same :ninja:

Incoming!  :ibjumping:

(Although mine won't be a 'baseline' as such...been training for a bit prior to this.)

this doesn't count obviously.. for fun:

this was september 2017, probably ~28" L-SLRVJ:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_H4_9QYbBno" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_H4_9QYbBno</a>

that's alot of lost vert!

same hoop, september 2011 (-6 years), probably ~35" L-SLRVJ occasionally in this session.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_nXbwu89fA" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_nXbwu89fA</a>

my left leg (quad/itb/glute) was destroyed too.. basically had a "thigh splint" (similar to shin splint).

#memorylane

also, August 2016. got back up to like 32" peak or so around this time, iirc.. was jumping alot, lunging alot, sprinting alot, and running:
