btw im adding salt to each crystal light drink, because i feel my sodium levels are low.. i mean i dont add salt to anything and i eat foods low/zero in sodium so... today i hyper-hydrated with salt in each drink, feel really good right now.

ramen doesnt have any salt either, before someone thinks that, i dont use the packet that has the 'spices/salt' in it, just the raw noodles.. you cant taste any salt in it.

ya, low sodium

Been doing low sodium also for the past few months on weight loss program.  Mainly bcs it sucks to check your weight and see no progress due to water retention.  Makes it almost impossible to track/adjust ur wkts/diet.  Also much more potassium from fruits/veggies for same reason.  Drawback is have to give up/restrict main foods I like (cold cuts/sammies, pickles, chips, mayo).  Other thing I noticed is the more u restrict salt the more sensitive u become to it so the less u can have w/o the bloat effect.  Cheat days usu take me abt 3 days to recover from.  Good luck.

ya, the water retention does make it harder to see how much you're losing for sure, accurately.. you get lots of fluctuations.

i need it though for sure.. i don't like retaining water either but, feel so weak when sodium is low so..

Himalayan crystal saltSea salt - Subjected to pollution, sea salt has irregular and isolated crystalline structures disconnected from the natural elements surrounding them. Thus, however many vital minerals it may contain, they cannot be absorbed by your body unless the body expends considerable energy to do so.

Common table salt at best is useless, and at worst a destructive toxin that can lead to heart disease, high blood pressure and fluid retention. (This is why doctors tell us to use less salt in our diets). It has been stripped of its trace minerals, leaving sodium and chloride, and has been further treated by adding an anti-caking agent, to make it free-flowing. Therefore it builds up in the body and leaves deposits in organs and tissue, causing health problems.

We need salt - It is essential for maintaining healthy functioning of the cells, nerve conduction, digestion, absorption and elimination of waste products. Whereas common table salt can be detrimental to our health, natural crystal salt is reported to have healing properties.

table salt is just sodium chloride mixed with a very small amount of iodized salt and sometimes iron and/or fluoride. the latter two are rarer and depend on where you live.

the proliferation of iodized table salt is one of the most efficient and effective public health interventions available to developing countries, and in the west and many other places around the world has led to the near-elimination of goiter and a reduction in one of the leading preventable causes of mental retardation -- i.e. iodine deficiency.

everything in moderation.
