how can you be better at pull ups than dips? i can do like 2-3x as many dips as pull ups. and you have long arms!
Muscles are nonsensical they have nothing to do with this bullshit.

i've always been very bad at dips.. for most of my life i couldn't even do them.. then finally i got 'strong' and eventually got up to 15-20 or so iirc. i've always been good at pullups (and most "pulls") though. I'm naturally better at deadlifting than squatting, rowing than pressing, etc.

right now, i'm doing neutral grip so those are much easier than pronated grip.. maybe that is to blame slightly.

bodies are so interesting. i think if i completely detrained for a year i could still do 10 dips.

nice

i could do ~2-3 ng pullups when i got back into things.. doubt i could have done any dips then. getting the bodyweight down has helped for sure. also perhaps some oldman strenf kicking in. I remember in h.s./early college i couldn't do 1 single dip and i was in great shape hah.. felt like my sternum was going to crack.

soreness: chest/lats/legs a bit
aches/injuries: feet a bit sore, left ankle sore

05/16/2015

shoes: nb xcv900

session 1: ~3.5 mi jog & sprint
- got in some nice 'max effort sprints'
- ankle sore though

session 2: ng pullup/bar dip "holds"
- max rep and then just hold at the top
- good stuff

05/17/2015

session 1: ~7 mi jog & sprint
- nice, a bit sore though

session 2: mostly bar dips, tons of sets of ~3-4

jog and sprint is so evil.. but it's great.

are you doing negatives (i.e. close with both hands, release off hand and resist opening as much as possible) or anything else with the CoC?

nah not yet.. my weak girly hands are feeling it enough as-is with the normal crushes. Right hand has improved alot, left still weak. I'll need to eventually do negatives with the #1 in order to crush that. I have a filed down Trainer, #1, and #2. :F
