10/27/2019

only mowed the front lawn, but haven't in like 4 weeks so it was brutal. got it done.

if it hadn't taken so long, i'd have done some "landscaping". but i still wanted to do it so, did it at night with my headlamp.

got some more solar lights (for the front yard), but had a few left over so temporarily using them to illuminate some plants. but, i need better ones which illuminate the actual plant directly above. need to find something good. don't want to get more "lamp" ones for that. has to be something better.

i got bougainvillea's, corn plant, another elephant ear (love these), and a gardenia. :ninja: :ninja: :ninja:

i sent these to my aunt so linking from some fb url.

some night shots:

like these.. they are too intense for potted plants. maybe need to find smaller ones then..

ouch, that blows.

yea it's a bummer. especially considering we told the other candidates that we were going w/ someone else.

not worth even trying to salvage that at this point. need to find another golang backend dev now. feeeh!

kid really handled it like a noob. :<

he apologized "profusely" in email (two short emails eh..). if i did something like that, i'd have to go apologize in person & accept a kick in the balls. not even kidding. something like that deserves a true, in person apology.

im on a bougainvillea binge. the solar uplights are cool too. looks really good in person. that's the effect i was trying to achieve.

Nice flowers! Gardenia is dope, it grows very big and goes on a blossom rampage. Flowers smell awesome too. Love this plant, gotta get one this year.
Target training paces (min/km), calculated from 5K PR 22:49 :
Easy run : 5:48
Tempo run : 4:50
VO2-max run :4:21
Speed form run : 4:02

---

it's the biggest trick in the run game.. go slow to go fast. it doesn't make sense until it smacks you in the face and you're like ....... wtf?

actually did some halloween prep.. carved a pumpkin, got tons of candy, etc.

only saw ~5 sets of trick-or-treaters. some people skipped my house - even tho i was outside with a big bucket of candy and my pumpkin (derpkin) lit up. odd.

me excited about halloween:

me surprised halloween was such a dud, making up for it by setting my dude on fire:

ok so nowi  have 10 bougainvilleas...  :o

which was the goal/experiment. so now i can chill with getting more plants for a bit, and just try to nurture these :d

will post some photos eventually. lots of rain today - no sun etc.

really loving it tho.. they make me feel happy when i see them in the back yard. hah.

oh also i got stabbed/cut by the big one i got today. also stepped on a thorn barefoot (while potting it), went right into my foot. cool thing is tho, didn't even care. i respect that those plants can defend themselves. lmao.
