forearm fatigue, adarqui vs possum fight. lol. :ninja:

Quote
<@run> LMFAO
<@run> got in a legit "tustle" with a possum
<@run> same one from a few weeks ago
<@run> this thing was not having it.. i kept trying to knock it off the fence
<@run> and it was attacking the stick
<@run> took me like 5 minutes to get it to fuck off
<@run> was crazy
<@run> it finally went onto the top of a wooden fence, not the chain link .. so it had less group
<@run> and i hit it hard as fuck
<@run> and it flew off the fence and hobbled off
<@run> my shoulders/forearms are tired
<@run> lmfao
< lore> lol wtf

< polybot> My dog Toaster was attacked by a raccoon - YouTube : For pictures of my dog Toaster and additional footage, follow me on Instagram: @kevinrose.
<@run> holy shit lol
<@run> i have a big ~9 ft stick
< nstr> powerbomb
<@run> that i took from a forest
<@run> so i use that to "joust" the possum
<@run> works good
<@run> but damn did that thing try to overcome it
< lore> I can't even imagine a scene in my head to visualize what the hell you and that possum got into
<@run> bruh it was nuts
<@run> i have a huge long stick
<@run> so
<@run> im like 9 ft from it
<@run> so that's cool..
<@run> but ya it was attacking the stick, hard
<@run> bruh
<@run> my forearms are fatigued af
<@run> that was a legit battle

oh also i haven't been logging this:

any time i go to the property, I do a set of dead hang chinups. he's got a nice pullup bar hanging from the end of the porch.

today:
- BW x 6

i think if i had this prop.. i'd bring my legendary power rack there. i'd also get a really nice heavy bag setup eventually. also a nice mat for jump roping.

hmmmmmmmmmmm..... if i get this spot, i might put my power rack on the dock..... or if it can't support it, eventually build a dock that can. interesting. imagine lifting/bw exercises on a dock like that, right on the water. SICK.

light sniffles + light headache today.

awaiting these covid19 test results. if i had to bet, i'd say i got something.

2nd appraisal & covid19 results could both come back on the same day. life is funny.

for sure man. if i didn't have dogs, i'd love it.. but since i have these little rascals, very scary.

james wanted to jump in the pond to get the bread .. before the gator showed up.

had he not been on the leash/held back, he would have jumped in. scary !@)(!@$)

will have to remove the gator (rescued) shortly after moving in.

had a great day out at the spot.

first i coded/worked for like 3 hours.

then I went into the park in the back yard.. it's unreal. thousands of acres of cypress growing in swamp, with endless slash pines everywhere.

man... im going to get a drone eventually and fly it through there. sounds so much fun. hah.

really beautiful tho, my phone doesn't do it justice:

also the gator was super "social" today. didn't frighten at all from us.. normally it flinches.. today it didn't react to any movement etc. just chilled there inches from us for an hour or so. lmfao wtf.

also it has a turtle friend.. lmfaooo.

my co-worker/friend stopped by.

he wanted to see the gator so bad.

he expected he would be afraid of it.. he was completely shocked that it was so "friendly" .. and that he himself never was afraid of it.

it blew his mind that it was just sitting there inches from us.. looking at us.. not being aggressive at all etc.

was hilarious. he said it was one of the coolest things he's ever experienced. hah.

 :wowthatwasnutswtf: :wowthatwasnutswtf: :wowthatwasnutswtf:

then we went to a local "farm house cafe", which turned out to be really good .. they use "local ingregients" (meat/veggies from local farms). they also have paddocks/horse parking, for people who ride their horses up & come to get food.

they also had live music starting & a fire pit going.

pretty cool.

turned out to be really good .. nice little spot.

my friend said, "doesn't feel like i'm in florida .. feels like i'm in vacation in georgia or something" hah.

also gizmo/james :f

but ya.. need to get a drone and a solid camera in October .. once i get this spot, im going to have to figure out what to get.

for cameras, ive been looking at fuji x-t4.

for drones, haven't looked in a while .. but i'm sure i could get something really solid now for a decent price. looking forward to finally getting a drone.

pc!

OH.. i might do a 5k (for fun - not srs) in november. if i get the new spot, it'll actually be pretty close. It's a race I won prize money at a few years ago.

it's one of the few non-virtual races scheduled.

3 separate w/o's of paused chinups

1:
- BW x 8

2:
- BW x 8

3:
- BW x 8

also regarding home news.. still curve ball after curve ball.. now it's the 2nd mortgage that's taking too long.

so, i've finally said fu*k it. and i'm just going to TRY and put the extra money down. My loan officer/mortgage dude said it should be 100% if i do that, no reserve requirements etc.. because now i'm taking it out of Jumbo and into conventional.. so..

plan is to close by Friday.. and immediately stay here the whole weekend and enjoy life.

lol.

i've been here all day (saturday) cleaning up the place (roborock + dyson + leaf blower ftw lmfao), programming, and going to parks etc. Love it here. Also one of my friend's/co-workers came over and we ate some burgers.

pc !
