woke up at 7 PM today................. bad.

07/27/2016

Bio: Morning

last night's sleep: ~7 hours
last night fell asleep: ~12 PM
- eek
wakeup = 3 PM
- eek
bw = 149
morning resting heart rate = didn't measure
soreness = none
aches = none
injuries = none
standing desk (when on computer): none
feel = wrecked
water = alot

Food

7 PM

- green tea
- greek yogurt
- banana

Food

10 PM

- stir fry: 4 potatoes, carrots, garlic, olive oil, kalamata olives , mixed nuts, fruit at the end, gorgonzola at the end
- bowl of cheerios + 2% milk + honey
- 2 x wheat bread with butter
- orange juice

way too much food.. destroyed me.

lots of coding today, even tho i wokeup so late etc..

one thing I started doing is, splitting up ln-ui into: ln-ui-core and ln-ui-reactflux. I'd like to put most everything in ln-ui-core, and then just anything I need for the actual ui in ln-ui-reactflux... that way, down the road, i could have ln-ui-cli, ln-ui-angular, ln-ui-reflex etc... it'll allow me to re-use ln-core for the core internals.

i'd like to also do that on the backend.. though I think the backend would be even easier. Once I get this moving & the app re-instated, i'll work on doing that to the backend.

one thing I wanted to do with this project from the start, is eventually make it a real 'polyglot system' in production. ie, we could be using different backends/frontends, as long as they all pass every unit test/behavioral test etc.. this way, it'll serve as some kind of architecture that not only just serves the forum, but helps others in the programming community by serving as this big "lego block" system where people from all backgrounds could eventually contribute. That's one of the goals i've had for a while.. so it seems i'm slowly starting to think about that more.

total code fail tonight.

Is your running dropping off pretty fast from cutting the volume?  Seems like a 5:40 .85 would be fairly easy for you.

well .. i'm not sure if it's dropping off or not. mentally i've dropped off for sure. if i'm not mentally focused, then it's hard to really run properly.. but ya i was feeling shitty from sleep schedule and it was crazy hot/humid. so dno tbh.

on the good side, jumping/sprinting is improving.

i'm also just resting alot more now.. i was going to train tonight but, feeling tired, so i'll just rest and then maybe try to jump max tomorrow. I'm alot more "patient" with training than I used to be..

for anyone who watches jeopardy. here's what I typed on irc:

19:58 < let> wow this guy on jeopardy just lost by $1 . but here's how: he had $18,400 .. he wagered one dollar in final jeopardy .. he got the question wrong, which brought him to $18,399 .. then someone else got the question correct, bringing her to $18,400.
19:58 < let> haha!

so he wagered $1 and lost by $1.

brutal.

Sorry, wasn't meant to be insulting, I thought it was an inside joke.  I only remember everyone seriously picking on people like trainer Mike and a few others.

damn.. got up decent tonight on my max L-SLRVJ's. and i only did ~10 of them. Leg died around ~7.

then decided to try and land a dunk.. came pretty close. I should have definitely landed a few of them, but was trying to throw them down too hard.

both quads and left hamstring is really sore right now.

the court i went to was completed dead .. which was awesome.

R u going to try and use your S7 to tape your dunking and what not?  If so, let me know if and what kind of tripod you'll use.  I have an S6(bought it 2 weeks before the S7 came out and I wasnt aware there was going to be an S7 at that time lol) and was looking to get one when I get down in weight and get back into jumping.

damn that sucks about getting the S6 2 weeks before the S7 dropped!

ya i've been using the s7 for all of those photos I took .. and those jumping still frames I took, were from the s7 video footage. I'm about to grab some stills from tonight's jump/dunk session. I'm hoping that weird blur/autofocus thing didn't happen.

I used this small cell phone tripod:

shit i can't find it. it's like this one, but, without the gorilla pod legs:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/joby-griptight-gorillapod-stand-tripod-for-select-cell-phones-black/9235047.p?id=1219701749557&skuId=9235047

I got it at best buy.

at what weight do you want to get to, before starting jumping?

pc!

ok next time I will try this with the "optical stabilization" turned off.. I think that may be causing this blur issue. I absolutely hate it.

EDIT: actually it's OFF.. WTF. literally every setting is OFF. wtf do I do?!?!

EDIT #2: I think I figured it out.. I enabled pro mode, then saw another "AF" setting.. which is "auto focus". So I slid it all the way to the right, and it became "manual focus". So I waved my hand in front of the camera, and I didn't see it "pucker/blur". When I re-enabled AF, it puckered. So, i'm going to leave this off next time I take footage. Hope this fixes it.. this blur issue is annoying af (no pun intended).

basically all of my dunk attempts got wrecked with the blur issue.

here's one of my best jumps, blurred to fu*k:

here's two more jumps that luckily didn't blur:

felt powerful today. that rest-lyfe.

Food

7 PM

- 2% milk + 2 tspn coffee + honey

Food

8 PM

- green tea

Food

8:30 PM

jumps:
- dribbling around/layups for a bit
- didnt know what time this part closes, so I unfortunately rushed it a bit
- good news is, it closes at 10 PM i think
- L-SLRVJ max attempts: ~10 attempts, hit what felt like ~10'10 around jump 6 or so, on a single rim.. ~2" down my wrist. that jump was the one that was all blurry. A few other jumps felt like 10'9, maybe even 10'10, but didn't feel it as good.
- ~12 dunk attempts: got some really close ones.. but pretty much all of the footage is broken because of that blur issue

MR tuck jumps:
- 2 x 50
- tough

Food

11 PM

- big bowl of cheerios with honey + 2% milk
- cherries, blueberries, blackberries
- english muffin with butter
- orange juice

Food

5:30 AM

- greek yogurt

got a TON of programming done today.. been working on some weird "state machine" in ln-ui-core. I want this machine to work not only for ln-ui-reactflux, but, other ui's as well: ln-ui-shell, ln-ui-*. So, been losing my hair trying to figure out how to do that... after 2 days of struggling badly, things turned around tonight. The design is making some sense and it's really cleaning up all of the code.

So i'm very happy with it right now.

I basically want this one file to be responsible for EVERYTHING that goes on between the server and the actual client. So, it is basically the 'core' that sits between them:

https://github.com/adarqui/ln-ui-core/blob/master/src/LN/UI/Core/App.hs

so... all of that crazyness.. basically allows me to keep is crazy simple on the frontend side.. for example, ln-ui-reactflux literally uses this small bit of code to run actions through ln-ui-core:

Code: [Select]
instance StoreData Store where

  type StoreAction Store = Action

  transform (Goto route_with) st = do
    setLocationHash $ Text.unpack $ fromRouteWith route_with
    pure st

  transform action st@Store{..} = do
    (result', st') <- runCore st Start action
    void $ forkIO $ basedOn result' action
    pure st'

    where
    basedOn result_ act_ = case result_ of
      Start              -> pure ()
      Next               -> Dispatcher.dispatch $ SomeStoreAction store (MachNext act_)
      Done               -> pure ()
      Failure            -> pure ()
      Reroute route_with -> Dispatcher.dispatch $ SomeStoreAction store (Goto route_with)

which is pretty sick.. that means, ln-ui-shell will require a similar amount of code as well.. very tiny. There's other pieces of code that i'm using to communicate with ln-ui-core so it's not ONLY that small but .. but man i just reduced the amount of code in future ln-ui-* applications by like 1000% HEHE!!!

pretty coo.

Yeah looks like if you get a good bounce on the ball you'd be able to get a dunk in.

The heaviest I ever dunked at was 250 with a semi flat ball so I'd start maybe around there.  At 275-280 I dunked 9ft off 1 step a month ago.

ya my ball doesn't bounce good at all, but, last night I got some really nice lobs with it.. should have landed ~4 or so of them.

ah

nice.. well you're not TOO far from 250.

When jumping, I personally worry more when i'm heavier .. i just feel like it's alot of strain on joints/tendons. I mean i'm very light so that gives you an example of why I would even have those thoughts.
