what time you shooting for in the 1600?

also it's gonna be 102 here tomorrow. debating whether to try to run in it, maybe mid-morning.

if a bunch of fast people show up, want to hit a hard 1km.

but, don't think anyone will sooo.. if that's the case, i should probably try to < 5 it.

I feel like I have 4:5X in me, even on the low mileage recently. will be curious to see if i can do that given my recent training.

last year I ran a solo 4:59 1600m in a track event in similar heat, mid-day, it was a weird experience. i held back good and ran it very smart. in different shape now but, still feel powerful.

Second str8 track meet (last one, last summer) where i ran 1600m solo..

After first lap today i was like, man this is stupid, and just jogged it out.

Next track meet i'm doing 100m, 400m, 200m. Those folks r having so much fun. Most heats are pretty full too.

bleh. was bored out there tonight. i don't get bored too often. not the best sign. :ninja:

also, to top it off, they skipped the 1600m. i go up to the meet director, i'm like, you guys doing the 1600m?

"oh right, the 1600m. i forgot"

i think that's where I tuned out.

glute/hamstring felt ok during warmups & during the run. lame "race". wrote about it above.

sacral spine a bit achy after.

glute a little achy right before bed.

tmw = long walk.

AM RUN: light

PM RUN: jog 1600 @ track meet: 5:25 / 5:21
- https://www.strava.com/activities/2469532733
- https://www.endomondo.com/users/26420622/workouts/1342324837
-
- still a decent km tho, i guess because the first 400m was a 70. 800m said 2:28. 1200m was like 3:52 lol. finished at like 6 min/mi pace trotting it out.
- avg run cadence: 200 <- shocking
- avg hr: 139 <- lol

edit: 01:00 AM - 03:00 AM: relaxed but intense stretching
- hamstrings/hips/glutes bigtime
- eh.

a photo from usatf, 100m finals. i'm in the upper right (top row) with my arms crossed, smiling. HAHAHAHAahahahaHAah.

one thing i learned at these local track meets.. impossible to truly witness a 100m or 200m through your phone. just too fast.

heat 3 200m.

boling vs cooper

should be nuts. especially if they both advance.
