omg today sux lmfao

?

long story short:

aunt invited me to a family-friend's bday party. decided to be friendly and go.

they are at the pool of a hotel. so i grab a chair to sit down, but the chair somehow snags on something and clips me in the back of the knee. so that caused my hamstring tendon to get achy etc. been janky all night - slight limp. it's probably not going to be anything to worry about, but it is annoying. def inflamed from the impact.

last 5 days or so:

some bodyweight exercises each morning. pretty strong.

tons of stretching. some intense lacrosse ball mfr on my right glute/hip/sacrum.

150 right now before sleep. will probably be 148-149 tmw. definitely getting leaner.

having fun trying to get leaner w/o running. would like to get to my leanest ever. have to swap goals for a bit until i'm 100% healthy again. that's the key to keeping your sanity & dealing with injuries.

miss running but going to try and not run for a while to see if i can heal this stupid shit.

hills/bw

07/20/2019:
- morning bw: 151

dinner:
- sauteed broccoli + green bell pepper + jalapeno in olive oil, basmati rice, avocado, salt

11:00 AM: light walk w/ mod hill sprints: 3h20m /// fasted
- https://www.strava.com/activities/2548737377
- some solid gap times up the hills. hit 4:0X min/mi gap etc. 5:3X actual pace up the hill. surprisingly decent.
- 145 lb. after

06:00 PM: bw
- very strong
- 5+sec paused dead hang ng pullups: BW x 7
- full dips: BW x 10
- 45 deg hypers (fast+full): BW x 50

very surprised about the hypers.. BW x 50 is usually after i do a few sessions. felt very ez. probably due to leaning out my upper (easier to perform reps).

might go to a diff hill park tmw. dno yet.

then probably not run for 5 days.

hit a really interesting spot in my glute tonight, with manual pressure. haven't found that spot until now, 3+ months after the injury.

when i hit it, areas in my spine, hip, an glute lit up.

going to try and find it again tmw and really crush it.

injury areas/legs feel decent after that moderate workout today. injury areas didn't bug during the hill sprints.

feeling pretty good. that trigger point i crushed last night, really helped.

got a bad blister on my left heel tho from today's workout.

07/21/2019:
- morning bw: 150

dinner:
- sauteed broccoli + green bell pepper + red chili pepper in olive oil, basmati rice, avocado, salt, roasted almonds

10:00 AM: bw
- weak but ok
- 3sec paused dead hang ng pullups: BW x 8
- full dips: BW x 9

01:00 PM: light walk + light hill sprints: 2h30m /// very hot - nice /// fasted
- https://www.strava.com/activities/2552053935
- bad blister on my left heel formed, actually what made me stop the workout. hehe.
- 145 after workout. hotter today. heat didn't affect me at all - had long sleeve + pants on etc. nice.

next two days = rest. just some bw exercises (including hypers) and that's it. i'd like to do a long light grass run on wed.

if i can go: wed/sat/sun in terms of run workouts, that'd be good. would keep me at 4d rest, 3d work, which is a good ratio when rehabbing.

found a house for rent. spoke to the family who own/rent out the property, for literally 2 hours. seemed like really great folks. we got along great.

in a great location (near the parks I luv). canal/foresty-trees behind the (fenced in) house. very-very-very quiet area.

surprised at how big the pool was.. lmao. didn't realize how big it was on google maps (satellite).

wasn't too excited about a pool initially, but now I kind of am.. seems relaxing, could have fun with the dogs there, could do pool workouts etc. will have to train my dogs how to get out of it properly, only thing that slightly worries me about it. but they won't go in on there own. regardless, if they fall in, need them to go to the spot to get out. Trained james to do that in our small backyard pool.

also has a bigger section of yard than my current back yard, for throwing dog toys. probably 2x/the size of where i'm staying now (formerly my mom's house, but now my dad's house). will eventually be my house most likely, but not thinking about that.

being there during the sunset was a good idea.. all the foresty sounds came to life, with a good sunset that u could see through the trees.

kinda cool.

if i move aggressively, could be in there Aug 1. :ninja: :ninja: :ninja: :ninja: :ninja:

planned on running but, decided not to. nice.

07/24/2019:
- morning bw: 150

dinner:
- sauteed red bell pepper + green bell pepper + jalapeno + broccoli, basmati rice, avocado, roasted almonds, some soy sauce on the side

09:30 AM: bw
- strong!
- 3sec paused dead hang ng pullups: BW x 9
- full dips: BW x 10
- full 45 deg hypers: BW x 50

08:00 PM: bw
- 10sec paused dead hang ng pullups: BW x 6
- full dips + hold at the end: BW x 8
- 45 deg hyper + hyper dead hang: didn't count reps, then "elongated" for like 5+ minutes (ive done that several times the last few weeks, feels great)

hah!

thanks man! i might have gotten lucky with this property given the location (near lots of parks etc, quiet area), distance from work, size of the home/back yard, quiet/comfortable looking community, seemingly genuine friendliness/care for their properties/tenants of the "landlords", and the rent is definitely fair.

ya i'm pretty excited. will have the lease signed by monday most likely, and move in Aug 1.. right around the corner.

going to pick up the lease on friday .. will bring james because he's getting his nails trimmed near by.. so i'll let him scope out the back yard :ninja: :ninja: :ninja: :wowthatwasnutswtf:

other than work, hoping for a good year in this new area/home, full of relaxation, running/walking - maybe even get a mountain bike lol, pool escapades, and of course fun with the pups. might even get back into some art work. want to just really detach & clear my mind.

im up too late again. dammit!

peace!
