I hope you find something!

thanks man!

i've been looking for stuff on acreage so, not ez finding stuff within my budget. def had one thing last week but it was too much of a risky with the neighbors etc.

i do wish these areas were closer to work. everything if 40-50 min from work. sux but i'd easily do that drive if i was living in a great spot.

pc!

I'm out in suburbia. Without traffic it takes about 25-30 minutes to get to the CBD. However, in peak hour it's more like 45-60 minutes. To get acreage in my city with the price of my house you'd be looking at a 90 minute commute to the CBD. Capital cities in Australia are pretty much all like California in terms of price. You can't even call this shit a bubble because it's just normalized in the average citizens mentality.

I've also had an issue with my hips and I still don't know what it was, I think it was a hip impingement so I did band distraction work.

But definitely stretching it definitely makes it worse. Squat university goes through impingement, but after doing some band distraction work and then try a movement that would normally hurt your hips and see if it still hurts and that can tell if impingement is the problem.

tennis ball foam rolling deep definitely did not help. it would hurt and you would actually be tearing it small amounts.
Warm up drills
   - a walk, b skip quick powerful switch (heel to hams focus), a runs, dribbles small to big to run, straight leg to runs (force, reflex, go up/forward). force to hit the ground before it hits the ground knee/hip is at 90 degrees.
   - acceleration: low heel recovery, shin angle low, drive legs back before hitting the ground and drive thighs/knee forward not up
-------------------------------------------------------------
Measuring reminder:
5 toe to heel steps = 148cm

ya similar. i can feel the deep tissue stuff actually damaging it. in your mind you hope it's helping.. and initially it might feel like it is, causing a rush of blood flow etc, changing the pain perception. but it always gets worse for me.

additionally, if stretching is one of the original culprits, then i'll stay away from it being a potential fix. stretching has always been my arch nemesis and it finally got me. but maybe it didn't, because now i'm not stretching at all and I feel decent (unless i run or stretch), so i'll eventually come out on top. :ninja:

some great things to come from this:
- don't have the urge to run with a watch anymore (nor strava): ie, i ran that mile race in december with no watch & glasses.
- not stretching
- don't care about competing with myself or others
- running (in small spurts) with dogs instead of running by myself (giving them more attention)

eventually it'll work out.

Did you go to a PT to find out what the issue was with your hips?

I had something like that of an issue recently, my inner hip started hurting when I was running but it was a dull pain, so I had to be careful and let it heal. then did some stretches. It would hurt when I rotated my legs laterally inwards.

But it would be useful in finding out what the issue is and if there is any chance of recovering from it.

good luck with it.

took the pups out for a small walk (12:30 AM). but gizmo wanted to explore and was being stubborn. so i said fu*k it and went to the next community over. like 30 min later I get swarmed by literally 10 cop cars. however, they didn't actually stop me. it was odd. they parked nearby and just stayed there, perhaps monitoring me.

i think once the lead car saw i was walking two small dogs, he called it off.

i imagine someone in the community called the cops on me etc. all good whatever. haven't had that happen in a long time tho. def got nervous when they were swarming me. 8| :ibrunning:

:o 10 Cop cars and just park nearby to observe you.
They ain't got nothing better to do and seriously 10. 1 or 2 cars wasn't enough.
Sounds scary too.

nah i'm cool w/ it. i could have been some weirdo/breaking into cars etc. glad they sent all of them out like that.

and yea they won't send 2 if they think it's someone breaking into cars etc.. you get the army if you're doing that.

it's crazy how they all showed up within a minute of each other. it must have been a "break in - in progress" kind of call. they floor it to get to the area - which in itself is dangerous. i knew i was about to have to deal w/ some shit when i saw a few flying down a residential street at like 70+ mph. knew they were coming right for me. they have powerful/loud engines too. it's intense. lmao.

yea any time cars roll up on you that fast, it's scary. it's better that they were cops than someone else (at least in this instance). lool.
