you have a lot more in you than that. the 365 didn't look heavy, just like you lost concentration halfway through or like you're still uncomfortable with the form. you arch your back a lot, i.e. stick your butt way out.

but that's only 5 (or maybe 10? i forget) pounds over my all time PR and you're more athletic and 30-40 pounds heavier than me. you should pass 400 in no time.
Muscles are nonsensical they have nothing to do with this bullshit.

Thanks man, as LBSS noticed i have a HUGE sticking point. I have to be going fast or else I won't make it through.

Tonight

3 sets of 3 12m accels with sled, immediately followed by 3 w/o (so each set was 6 sprints in total)--12m is random, I thought it was 15m but after measuring it came out to 12 which is good because my times were waaaay to fast for 15m ha

my times for the 2nd set (from video first movement): all about 1.9

box jump onto car (56.5 inches)--wanted to see if I could do it ha

2 sets of 4x15m bounds, was going to do 4 sets but stopped bc it was bad and not getting better.

Maybe you could mess around with pin squats at that depth or leg presses?

Yea that's a good thought. And if I competed in powerlifting I would for sure. But, given my current goals, really all lifting is "assistance work" i.e. if I found something else instead of lifting weights that increased power/speed better I would do that instead.

So, I'm not really too concerned with maximizing my squatting efficiency, as long as it is driving my speed/power up.

Today I did:

AM:
wide grip pullups 6 sets of 7
standing strict press, 155x5, 145x4sets of 5 (wanted 155 5x5 but after the first set I knew it would be too taxing)
hammer strength pull down: worked up to sled +250lbs

PM:

tempo: 2 sets of 5x120 with leg lowering abs between the sets
effort was about 70% except for the last rep of the 2nd set which was about 80. These felt a lot better: I can really tell the specific endurance in my hip flexors/lower abs is improving as the "stepping-over" technique is getting easier at the end.

Tomorrow is my rest day: might swim a little bit at night, we'll see

Plan tonight is 3 sets of 6x15m (3 reps w/ sled 3 w/o).

I picked up a freelap system for cheap on ebay so i have accurate times. My goal is under 2.6, at least under 2.7 hopefully.

^^^awesome, had not heard of freelap before. looks very useful. new ones start at $530 though and i couldn't find shit on ebay. what did you search if you don't mind my asking?

I got really lucky and got it off ebay for less than 100 dollars. Just keep an eye on ebay, they show up every now and then.
I love it, no timing worries at all

Today AM: pullups 6 sets of 7 wide grip
standing press: up to 140x9(and a half lol...so close to 10)
various small bb stuff...boring

I hate upper body/ low intensity days, can't wait to squat tomorrow

all were 2.5 or under. Best was 2.42, worst was 2.5
pretty happy about this.
they were all timed automatically from a 3 pt stance (mine is horrible too lol)

i was only going to do 3 sets but i did one last set hoping to break, 2.4, no dice.

strict press: up to 135x10
bench: 225x3 (super easy, felt so weird though, after not having pressed in that direction in ages)
