Lol no no. It popped weird and had some pain when i was walking through the living room but i didnt think much about it.  Woke up the next morning and it was wrecked. Late Saturday afternoon it did it again (im guessing it shifted back?) and although it hurt like a bitch I instantly had better ROM in it. Had it checked out at the PT today.  She was surprised highly when testing and scans showed no meniscus damage. Sorry i was short about it and it reads weird lol was and am still kinda mad. All i can do is bike and stretch for a little bit.

Ayyyy. Hit weights again this week and shot around and jumped some today! Yay!

Got cleared Monday AM to lift again and I quote, "you'll know when to stop". sigh. You'd think my PT would know me better. Either way...

BW 179lbs. Decent energy even if im battling some seriously dark demons lately. Trying to channel it into positive things but my diet is suffering hard.

warmups+stretch+lower intensity jumps

Squats: first time in the powerlift3s and sleeves (rehband 7mm neoprenes).

bar x12, 135 x10, 225 x6, 315 x3, 365 x1 (belted), 405 x1 (b). Didnt have 425 as 405 wasnt as smooth as last time.

6x5 @ 335lbs
1x9 @ 335lbs. Really wanted 10 reps. :(

Same basic circuits but i went a little lighter on assistance stuff. Also skipped box jumps in between squat sets. Knee did ok. I like the shoes/sleeves. Felt confident in them after a few reps. Was sore some Tuesday from the extra squat volume but not bad.

Back/biceps/core on Tuesday.

Shot some after work today and the jumper and handle were on point. Planned to just chill and shoot but I was money so I dicked around with some guys 1v1. Nothing real hard but it let me actual test the knee on some cuts and such at 75-80%. Tossed down a few light dunks with minimal effort as well. Need to get my speed back up into my plant with some dedicated dunk sessions and I should be back close to where I was. Did some light plyos tonight but was groggy (fell asleep post dinner on the couch lol). Max touch was only 10'10". Kinda mad for a min but I'll take it for now.

Ive almost been convinced to do a physique show at the end of summer... but that means more dedicated chest/shoulder work which means a garbage jumper and extra weight. Not something i wamt over the summer for pickup/leagues etc. Decisions.

BW: 180lbs.

warmups+stretch+couple depth jumps

Deadlifts
135 x10, 225 x6, 315 x3, 405 x1(b/s), 445 x1(b/s), 475 x1f, 475 x1(b/s). Wasnt mentally right on the first 475. Stupid on my part.

9x3 @425lbs.
1x5 @425lbs. Meant to do a 10x3 but got a few extra at the end.

Same curcuits but lighter weight more volume. Some box jumps and core work as usual. Decent session for how late/tired i am. Bleh.

Fucccccccckkkkkkk

So. Ive been lifting still and switched up the schemes but I haven't been jumping as much and I dont feel super springy (might be because im at 184lbs) but...I went and hooped today with some out of town buddies that are in for the car show (we literally have 500k people in town...our population for the county is ~75k iirc lol... its gridlock traffic everywhere but amazing cars). Anyways...was playing ok. Had an in game one hander and was getting looser and looser. After we played I got a off the dribble windmill and was like fuck it.

FUCKING OFF THE DRIBBLE BTL! I lost my damn mind as did like 30 other people lol! Sadly no one was videoing so I tried 4 more and got close but couldnt get another. Dammit. I went and asked for the security cam footage and the sweet lady behind the desk told me to come back Monday to try and find it. Ughhhh! I hope i can pull it off their cameras!!!!!!

Weighed in at 179.8 lbs today. Felt bouncy in warmups. Not strong on warnup squats but got a 425 single. 5x3 at 365. FS was 3x5 at 225. Even tripled 225lb step ups. Skipped calves and leg extensions. Sigh. Hit core. Its late. This update sucks. And i am sorry. :)

Well...since then. havent played much until today. Easy tomahawk off 1 step and damn near got a one hander off vert. Pump reverse off a lob was cool. Sqautting 425 for a single now at 181lbs. Pulled 445 for triples last week. Trying tonget strong without losing speed so I upped speed days to 2x a week. Feel fine recovery wise and i have no clue why. Sleeping 3-4 hours a night. Drinking almost every night with friends or a few girls but not a lot. Im eating better tho and more motivated than ever. Quick recap. Basically.

Well... big changes lately for me life in general wise. Not going to let it keep me down. Resolving to start logging more to keep myself accountable. Really need to play more ball to stay bouncy as well.

Squatted tonight at 181lbs BW.

Back Squat
bar x12, 135 x10, 225 x6, 315 x3, 365 x1, 405 x1, 425 x1
385 x3, 385 x3, 365 x3, 365 x3, 365 x3. Not bad.

Front squat:
265 x5, 295 x3, 315 x1! FINALLY! Got it easier than expected to, shold have repped it twice. Then finished with 275 x3, x3.

Circuit assistance work. Went for more heavier/less reps on the unilateral work tonight. we'll see how that feels tomorrow.

Did a quick back/biceps workout tonight but had to skip core to make it to the basketball court in time to play. Played 2 pickup games and was ok. Knocking rust off basically then spent about 15 mins dunking. Didnt push to hard since I squatted heavy Monday but went about 80-85% and damn, it wasnt half bad. Video on the phone of the last 4 mins. Felt good. Speed into the plant is down and Im still at 183lbs so if i fix those... Maybe...just maybe. I'll cut a few dunks into a real short mix tomorrow. Hitting some speed/plyo and core work tomorrow AM and then lunch and hoops. EXCITED

Heard a few college guys are back in town and playing tonight so went easy on speed work this am at the gym. That and the soon to be ex wife walked in and was civil and cordial. Weird. Hadnt seen her in about 6 weeks but oh well. Weighed in at 184lbs. Ugh. Shouldnt have ate cheesecake after hibachi last night lol

Alright quick update.... runs Wednesday night were ok. Knocked some more rust off and started feeling good basketball wise. Thursdays are deadlifts but i got invited to go run at a semi local D2 school so I skipped the gym to be fresh. Went up there with 2 of the guys and wrecked these guys. Basically got whatever i wanted whenever because the guys trying to check me were so worried about the crossover and snatchback. afterwards their pg came up and told me that was the first time he'd ever felt "glued" to the floor. Just stuck. Felt ok bouncy so tossed a few dunks down with the taller kids then got rim hung on an off the dribble btl. 2-3" away from getting this consistently (or a faster transfer lol).

As we're leaving Im told theres a 5v5 tourney going down Sat an hour away. Couple local college kids and a bunch of just graduated signees amd such. So i rested Friday or tried... worked on the race car then got a call at 1am to go pickup some friends at a bar... got home at 5 and forst game was at 9. eeek. So played 6 40 min games on an hour of sleep lol! Brought a buddy of mine that plays pg for a local D3 school, a good friend that damn near made the D-League last year and we put it on some dudes. went 5-1 overall and lost the championship by 8 points. We were dead lol no subs killed us. I played well, had 9 blocks one game lol and a few nice dunks. Had a weak baseline jam in game 3 and my teammates yelled at me so second half of game 4 I was the trailer on the secondary break and caught a pass at the ft line. 1 dribble and I put some guy trying to take a charge in a bodybag. Probably the best poster dunk ive ever had. Got me stupid hyped. We were up like 22 that game with 3 mins left so the game broke out into a dunk fest betweent their 6'3 wing and my buddy and me. Their dude caugjt a 2 hander off glass. Friend had a little baseline oop. I hut a reverse. Then dude killed a 360 so with 24 seconds left the lane cleared and I murdered a windmill. Basically the highlights :) They were having a 17u AAU tourney on the other courts and our dunk show and me putting some kid on one knee with a cross to snatch back had the kids going nuts. Was awesome to see them get some hyped, running around, etc. Slept 12 hours last night (lmao i was deadddd) and my knee is a little.stiff today but overall i feel good. Gym for some back and core work in a little then back to the grind on Monday!
