Thanks man!!

Currently, lifting wise I have no clue. I haven't lifted in 4-5 weeks at all and haven't lifted consistently in probably 2 months. :(  I imagine I can still get 365 atg at 175lbs BW within a few sessions (where I was a short time ago). As for PRs, 405 to parallel at upper 180s bw was the PR but then I reset and made a focus on cutting weight and ATG squats. Deadlifts are my weakness IMO and my PR on them is 385 iirc. After this rec league I plan on pushing for 405 on both lifts and stay 170s bw. We will see what happens.

As for jumping, highest recorded PR was last January right before my achilles injury at 46" RVJ. SVJ was 35-36". Currently I think im around those numbers going off the vids and how it 'feels' when im jumping/what dunks I can do right now. SVJ may be down a couple inches but the RVJ is right there IMO. Id venture to say I can get 43-44 almost daily and if im hyped up and 'light/springy' that day I think 45-46 is achievable right now.

Sorry for the long post, switching up the training style skews PRs for lifting imo.

46" running VJ?! what was ur squat and bodyweight then? what depth did u squat to then?

just from your vids i could see that you were extremely reactive. i'm around your relative strength levels but not jumping nearly as high (though i havent practiced my jumps in months and months).

did you do any depth jumps and depth drops at around that time?

Just went and looked :) In January/early Feb I was in a 'peaking' phase and was at 175ish lbs BW. Full squat was at 365 (+ 120lb of bands but 365 in the hole). Was managing 500+ on supra max quarter squats for reps (which I said then is a better indicator for me personally on my RVJ). Deads were lagging a bit behind then, 345-365 max (but this may have been grip limited :/ hmmm). So knowing that it seems as if im about the same now actually :( but the numbers make sense.

As for depth jumps/drops. Absolutely!  I usually do a couple sets of depth jumps in my warmups for leg days to keep my reactivity up. Haven't lately but im jumping a lot more since im 'in season' so my guess is its evening out.

+120lbs of resistance at the top makes a huge difference man... wonder what your atg max would have been band-free

No clue lol! I didn't think it would really matter because for.me.i always fail at the bottom, once its moving up im good. I'll have to try some band free!

Fucking lost tonight. Im so fucking pissed I can barely see straight. Basically, I had to teach a bunch of grown ass men how to defend a damn pick and roll after we gave up a literal fuck ton of 3s on them. And apparently our winning streak went to our heads because we have post players jacking contested 3s and were lazy as all fuck on the damn boards. All against the only team that should give us a game in the whole league. How the fuck do we play like children THIS game?!?! Gahhhh! So...we lost by 12. It would have been worse but I picked up their 6'6 forward with 7 to go and blocked 2 of his jumpers and pinned a layup/dunk attempt on the glass. I swear I had a fourth block but they said I goal tended a floater lol all I know is I got up on it lol! I had 17 points but spent most of my energy on d and getting boards since we forgot how. Gah. If this happens after Christmas/New Years break Im going to channel my inner Keyshawn and just say gimme the damn ball and go from there.

So 8-1 now but still in 1st for seeding in the playoffs.

Oh and I back ironed a putback. :( dammit.

When I was ~21 I used to play ball (half court) ~6 hours per day. Weighed in at 67 kg.

Oh god I wish I was 21 again lol! To be honest im not sore the next day im sore WHILE playing...which makes me think im getting an insufficient warmup lately. Going to have to be more careful before exerting a lot of effort/power going forward.

Well...its definitely my warmup thats been lacking. Not that im surprised, ive been having to start games with a very mild shoot around as my only warm up. I dont feel "good" til halftime usually. Soreness is in the calves and hams with some slight swelling in the shin area. Weird. Today however I had no such issues so thats a good sign. Extended stretching afterward just in case.

Back when I was 17 or so I would "warm up" for 50 minutes. Meaning, the sports teacher would make us do all kinds of drills for 50 minutes and then let us play ball for 2 minutes. And then the hour was over.

And I remember how extraordinarily tired I was after those 50 minutes and yet I could jump like crazy, in a full sprint, because of that warm-up.

Right now it seems my body is requiring 45 mins or so of gradually ramped up activity to be ready to play ball. Lifting only takes 20-25mins of warmups but them I have warmup sets as well.

I usually jump my best after a full warmup and about an hour of decent intensity playing.

9-1 in the regular season! Playoffs start Thursday and we're the #1 seed I believe. Had a somewhat close game tonight but I scored 7 in the last 1:30 to seal it and we won by 12. Shouldn't have been that close but we missed a lot of shots we normally hit. Other than that we played pretty solid, good on the boards and played decent D. We'll see how Thursday goes. I wanna win and get back in the weight room. :)

Went and played a little today...ended up playing a ton of 1v1 lol! Was basically a winner stays type deal, 1s and 2s to 11. Won 9 straight games without a break and was DEAD. Took a 10 minute breather and decided Id have a dedicated 30 min dunk session since its been forever it feels like. Started off very lack luster and I could really tell I havent been lifting which was getting me down. Suddenly about halfway through something 'clicked' and I started getting up again.  Very weird. I'd say I was around 43-44", very surprising but im extremely happy. I figured with the lack of weight room work id have lost more and ve down around 40-41, maybe 42. All in all a very confidence inspiring afternoon!

Won our first playoff game ....barely. Had to go to OT and we shouldn't have. Good news is, guys starting playing their roles again in overtime! Well that and I was so pissed I called a timeout and told them to give me the damn ball 40 seconds into the overtime. Dropped 9 of our 11 points in OT, NBA range 3 and 3 straight layups when the D tried to take away the 3. Also had a steal and 3 rebounds in OT. I think our guys got the point (hopefully). SMH. Did feel great to actually have to play tho, I feel like ive been on cruise control all season. Crowd was AWESOME in OT, all sorts of smack talk from their bench and the various 40 or so people watching. I love that type of atmosphere,  definitely had to let em know they couldn't guard me lol!

Watched 2 other games while stretching/BSing with friends on other teams and its definitely playoffs. Both games were close (1 point and 5) and everyone was a lot more physical. Should be fun!
