Havent been logging upper body days but theyve been going well...havent got to pay in over a week tho :( So no dunks.

To combat that i did some plyos/explosive stuff last night. Jump squats and power cleans supersetted with box and depth jumps. Some pogos and seated box jumps and even tried some SL box jumps...those are fun!

Kept the jump squats to 95lb+resistance bands for 4x8. Power cleans at 145lbs 3x5 and a 3x3 at 185lbs. Emphasis on quick GCT on js and barspeed on PC.

Really need to start hip thrusting again.... all puns intended since Im 'single' i guess. Fuck. lol

Well....shit ass week. Havent hooped at all this month and new rec league starts up next week thats supposed to be quite competitive. Probably play my way into skill shapeby the 3rd week or so. Took Sunday and Monday off earlier this week to recover fully and that stretched into a full on cheat week. :( Ate like crap, didnt lift from Sunday to Saturday....gained 8 lbs lol!

Went to the gym yesterday remotivated to get shit done, figured I'd gained a few pounds bit definitely not 8! Should come off quick tho if i eat right. Anyway, was going to deadlift but they have a sign up about a pound for pound bench comp at the gym on the 4th soooo....I figured id see where i was and if i was worth it. Basically a max effort bench day which i havent done in...wow...over a year.

Weighed in at 187lbs. Benched 95 x10, 135 x8, 185 x5 to warmup then started going up on singles. 225 no sweat but i knew that (figured id top out around 265-275). 255...actually moved ok. Cool. 275lbs... slight struggle but never felt like i wouldn't make it. Awesome. So....i loaded up 295lbs, managed to get it but it was tough. Doesnt matter thats a PR and i was surprised as hell! So goal is to try to get 315 at the comp at around 182lbs BW. And also get my legs and stuff back of course :)

Im excited again and thats a wonderful thing!!!

Ughhhh. Idk what I will weigh in at later but i felt heavy playing today.

Ran about an hour of full court, jumper was garbage, handle was alright. Legs were deadddd. Managed a few dunks afterward. Couple nice lobs and a 2 hander off the dribble but I can tell my movement efficiency is way down. Maybe jumping 40-42". Felt it in my shins when I tried a faster runup so...yea. Gotta jump more. Eat now. Squat later. Works going to suck tomorrow lol

Ummm....got a call yesterday, different rec league was starting...last night. Lol! Went...played. Just 4v4 halfcourt BS. But it was nice to knock more rust off. Felt much better, hit some jumpers, got to the hole easily, just better.

Did some light weight explosive stuff today, plyos. Just getting back in to it. Writing up a new program for the next 6-8 weeks. see if i can handle 2 rec leagues and some lifting lol

Second game tonight... played much better. Won going away in the second by 20. Basically sat up in the high post 15-17ft and depending on who they threw at me backed them down or bumped and faced up for jumpers/drives. Too easy. Had 3 plays i really got up on. Blocked a layup on the backboard with my elbow in the 1st half and grabbed a board in the second where the guys said i "floated" lol! Mistimed the jump s the ball hit the rim twice, luckily i went after it hard and caught it still above the hoop. Felt like I got up good. And had a up screen at the top of the key on a down cut and got loose in the lane for a alley oop from the wing. Crushed it with both hands and I was flying on that one. Had 3 mins left in the game, nice closing touch! :)

i was away for few years, just got back here a week and training again.  just noticed your height/reach is similar to me.  what's your SVJ and RVJ now days?  nice DL numbers.
current stats: age: 42 :: 5'11" (180cm) :: 180lbs (82kg) bf ~30% :: reach: 90" or 7'6" (230cm) :: wing span: 6" (183cm)
12 week goal(current): SQ 115kg(100), DL 130kg(110), BP 80kg(70), reduce weight to 75kg (165 lbs) and bf to ~25%
status: excellent cardio condition, new 5x5 program, 10' rim touch okay, RVJ ~30"
PR RVJ ~34" 10'5" touch @ age ~25 (worst was ~6" below rim when i was @ 190 lbs ~35% body fat ~23" RVJ in 2007-8

Judging solely off Thursdays post game shenanigans... my repeatable #s for SVJ is around 33-34" and my DLRVJ is around 41-43". Just based on the dunks i could do "easily". I suspect some of the harder dunks are all timing based and mine is way off. By the end of rec league i fully expect my numbers to go back closer to 36" SVJ and 45-46" RVJ as i think im stronger now in reference to BW ratios and the constant playing always helps movement efficiency.

Did a little deadlifting today....

BW down to 183lbs. 5 more to go. Weak as shit today compared to 2 weeks ago.

135 x10, 225 x5, 315 x1, 405 x1, 435 x1... wow. struggle. 405 x2, 315 x8m Some glute kick backs and ham curls. Nothing real volume heavy or anything. I'm writing a new program and ill dive in Monday hard again. Game on Tuesday will suck im sure lol
