Squat day. Decided against a full volume week since I dont want to be deathly sore for games. About half volume this week and ramp up from there to combat DOMS.

BW down another pound: 182lbs.

Warmups and some box and depth jumps. Didnt feel very explosive but wasnt really expecting too.

Squats: 135 x10, 225 x5, 315 x1, 365 x1. Thought the 365 would be more of a struggle but it was ok. Probably had 385 with some effort.

315lbs for 2x3. Eh.
275lbs for a 2x8. Eh again.

Did 2 circuits of SL leg press, lunges, leg extensions, calf raises and step ups. Not too heavy but not light light. Sprinkled in core and box jumps throughout. Not too bad.

Game tomorrow night then back and bis afterwards. Really want to ram on someone tomorrow.... :/

Skipped a few upper body sessions here and there but ive been hitt8ng my squat and dead days at about 75% volume. BW down to 183-184lbs consistently. Won our game on Tuesday by 37. Had 2 dunks but nothing major, really not even a competitive game. Last night tho... I rimmed out a 24 foot 3 pointer at the buzzer and we lost by 3. Should have won but too many mistakes down the stretch. I settled for jumpers even tho they didn't have any legit rim protection and we gave up 3 offensive boards in the last 4 mins. Not a good feeling. Bleh.

Did get some decent dunks before the game in warmups which is slighlty unusual. Starting to feel bouncy again

Deadlift day just completed. BW at the gym was 182lbs so not bad. TRYING to watch portion sizing...

deadlifts:
135 x10, 225 x5, 315 x1, 405 x1, 445 x1. Decent 445 pull. Not great tho.
405 x5, 405 x3, 315 for 3x8. Finally getting some strength back it seems.

Some circuits of BSS (135 x8 each leg, 185 x5 each leg), seated calf raise, ham curls and glute kick backs. Box jumps and core work to break up the circuits.

Ah. Also, tried SL box jumps on Monday, can get 30" box jumps off each leg. Felt great just knowing that! :) Next...SL depth jumps lol

New routine will start next next week! Going for it hard this time around. Goal is 185ish lbs, 8% BF, squat and dead more, and lots of jumping

Going to try LBSS. Im stronger now ratio wise. Weighed in at 182 yesterday. Just need to get up my efficiency and not lose speed as i get stronger. Have to find the balance between speed and strength.

Woah woah. When did Guy do 59"?!?!?!

Havent checked in in a min but im still going. Trying to get used to this extra volume before any serious jumping. Weighing 185lbs consistently now. Pulling 455 as a top set deadlift on PC day each week. Squats a strong 385 again, should probably go for 405 again now. Have hit standing overhead presses for 3 workouts now, got 185lbs strict yesterday, going for 225 eventually. Stopped by the court on my way to lift with the wife the other day, 2 hand rim grab off one step, shoes untied, no warmup and with my gym bag (prolly 10-15lbs of shit) on my shoulder lol! Not bad! Just some random updates lol

Tonight was squats:

warmups plus some box and depth jumps

135 x10, 225 x5, 315 x1, 365 x1, 385 x1.
335 x4, 335 x3, 295 x8, 295 x8 with a 225 x15 drop set. Ugh. Drop set=no joke.

Some light front squats, SL leg extensions and calf raises and low rep heavy core work.

Conclusion: VMOs are torched, hams and glutes feel ok. Good workout even tho im slacking on core lately.

Raptor, yes we did! Its been better than ever lately! Thank you!

Kinda sucks for motivation tho lol! I had/have been very un motivated lately, happy marriage again, good new job, the last rec league sucked so much i basically retired which took away my want to lift (no use if you cant go jump/dunk)... so Im finding other means to drive me now. :)
